How many days would you allow a seller to give you the run around, with not shipping, before filing a paypal complaint?

Once you send the money, if the expectation is quick shipment, 48 hours. If I haven't heard from you in that timeframe, and I paid g/s I would start the reversal practice. Anyone that puts an ad up, knows what is expected. If you go radio silent, you lose the risk of losing the sale. I conduct...

Confused at what EBAY cues has become.

Storage units have different rules in different states. NJ has very different laws than Cali where that show is located. But I have about 4-5 people I know here in NJ that do storage unit auctions. Very hit or miss for sure. All of them resell out of antique or second hand shops. JV

Confused at what EBAY cues has become.

I belong to a lot of auction sites and there are almost NO deals to be had. Coin auctions are the worst. Smart people will just type in the max that they want to pay and let it play out. That is the best thing you can do. Bullion auctions, you have to be first, 10 oz bar of silver, $330.00 at...

    Arragant Sellers and Paypal fees

You do know that there are bad buyers right? Buyers that will report a box empty, or claim something is wrong and reverse the charge and not send the item back. This is the issue, that in a transaction depending upon the payment, one of the participants is at a higher percentage of being screwed...

Your thoughts on outrageous cue prices

A lot of guys just like "The action of the transaction"... cues, coins, guitars all the same. That keeps things interesting. Other than that, I have become cynical, and I have disdain for the nits as of late. As I get older my fuse gets shorter and my tolerance for stupidity gets tested daily. JV

Does anyone here have any experience, or opinions about Early Adam Custom Shop Musashi cues?

All I want to know is the Musashi cues named after the warrior that wrote the Book of 5 Rings, or the ancient province where Tokyo is located. I would think the fighter, but who knows. JV

Does anyone here have any experience, or opinions about Early Adam Custom Shop Musashi cues?

The old full splice vs. short splice A joint debate... hmmmmmm... been there done that. First bought up on the internet in 1995 RSB.... 30 years later... 30 year old argument and I bet that's older than the new people wanting to make the same argument. Psst... Champion tips are better than any...

Does anyone here have any experience, or opinions about Early Adam Custom Shop Musashi cues?

Fred, Maybe he is correct. Maybe the "American Counterparts" he speaks of is Katie Kue, or American Sportsman Aluminum Cues. Because he is certainly not talking about Schon, Pechauer or to a lesser extent Meucci and McDermott. Cues and pool players are a funny bunch. People make outlandish...

    Joint

Some makers make an ivory sleeve that threads onto the butt and you can see the wood looking inside the joint, like a steel joint. The H style is just that. When you look down the joint it is ivory on the inside. Mottey, Gus, I believe Ernie, and I am sure many more do this type of joint. JV

Information on my Fellini case please?

Unless the case is in exceptional condition, 250-300 is more realistic for a base leather. If it was the sea turtle, or black lizard / black ostrich in mint condition then we are talking 400 and up. Custom cases... depends on the custom part. Names in cases, unless a prominent player, a hard...

Are the Volturo Fellini any good?

Nothing Fellini style about that case at all IMHO. Leather application, latch, not even close. Using Fellini for clicks and false advertising only. JV

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

Anyone that has a coin can go to eBay and see what a coin sells for. This is information that can be obtained without much effort. Not like someone that hides their speed to commit what is basically theft by deception. It is funny that you find this theft ok, but when a cuemaker, like in the...

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

Its only stealing if you mislead the individual or lie to him on the value. (IE the hustle) If he knows the value, and decides to cash them in for less, that is on him. You are talking apples and oranges. JV

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

Making games that are locks and "hustling" is not gambling, it is stealing. IMHO. It is like going to a bowling alley and throwing all gutter balls looking to play a blind man anyways. JV
