    Diamond types

Thats true for the most part. The new tables with the new rail design are blue, but there are some that are of the old rails (red name badge) that have been modified and play the same as well.

Forkbit tool for antique Brunswick rails.

Say a guy was going to use a torque wrench on these old bolts, what would a good number be to shoot for?

The balls jump after hitting the rail on my Diamond Pro.. Any ideas?

What I was meaning to say is it makes the table play correctly. If for what ever reason the cushions are slow, weather it be from the nose of the cushion too high, or other factors, it will speed up the play, to the "correct" speed. If the point of the cushion is too low, table playing too...

The balls jump after hitting the rail on my Diamond Pro.. Any ideas?

The proper cushion for the GC4 is a K55 cushion not a K66. The best thing about calibrating the rails is that you would know for sure that all of them are cut exactly the same and have the correct dimensions for the cushions being installed. Also, if you measure your table, you may find that the...

Moving Pool Table - Across States

The problem with shipping a Diamond table is that they cant be put on a pallet to easily, or I should say a standard pallet. The easiest way to move these tables is on a Diamond cart, and the normal carriers will not ship anything if it is not able to be put on a pallet. Also, those tables are...

    Mis-aligned long rail.

Loosen all 18 of the rail bolts and center the rail set on top of the slate. After is is centered in all directions, tighten the foot rail. Check for square, then tighten the head rail. Now sight down one of the long rails, adjust and tighten all bolts, then do the same for the other long rail.

Main Street Billiards (Mesa, AZ) getting their house tables "Diamond-ized" by Zak

The cushion doesn't become low on its own. It is a usually a combination of originally wrong from the factory, mechanic mounting them incorrectly, or the wrong profile of cushion used all together. I do not know why these cushions were SOOO low. It could be a bad batch of cushions from the...

Warped rails making slate pop up?

It is possible. I have had it happen to me. I leveled all the slate out, seamed with super glue and bondo, then after putting the rails on, rolled a ball on the slate and it about hopped off the table after hitting the speed bumps in the middle. I was stumped for a while. I took the rails off...

Main Street Billiards (Mesa, AZ) getting their house tables "Diamond-ized" by Zak

Table 10 is the one showed in the pictures above. This is a set of rails that were installed on that table not too long ago that were only recovered 2 or 3 times before. They are in really good shape, so no repair work needed to be done to them. I did recalibrate the rails to make the k55...

    Brunswick rail rubber

It is real hard to beat the Diamond rubber for the price and performance. As far as longevity goes, I have seen many tables that are around 10 years old that have the original cushions on, and still playing like they should. The only other thing better than the Diamond cushions would be the...

Stretch ... Tour Edition vs 860

Take your feel for 860 and about triple it for Tour Ed. As for the snooker rounds on the old valley. It is just what some mechanics do when doing the side pockets on bar rails. If you ask me, it is not the right way of doing it for the reasons you already stated. I am not sure why some do it...

Best K66 rail rubber for bar table?

Does it EVER make sense for a pool hall to re-felt the table, but not re-level it?

As far as the settling thing, that's not going to happen if the table has been there a while. RKC will tell you the same thing about the rails being bolted on the table before you can get a true leveling. The table must be leveled 3 times or so before it can really be level. Before the slate...

    Gold Crown 3 Face Lift

Jack - I will have to try the buffer next time. I just was trying to do it by hand this time. Glen - Thanks. I just got a call from Colby's to recover their Diamond. Maybe they will get some of their worn out GCs done too.
