Kind of you being a big fn prick and calling my customers an idiot you fn moron. We've seen your type come and go but they never leave soon enough. Mr. cfknowitallexpert You may have possibly been an asset to the community here but have become the community roll of toilet paper.

    CF REPAIR

That wasn't the question. But your avoidance answers my question as figured. You have no lathe, you have no shop and you have no cues. No fret tho.... 6 months after acquiring your first lathe, you'll be a master builder with 100's of cues all over the world and it'll all be developed from your...

    CF REPAIR

How many cues have you built that you used epoxy as void filler that you've seen back in your shop 10-15 years later?

    CF REPAIR

The structural integrity was compromised when someone gouged the shaft. No matter what you fill it with isn't going to change that. If you think putting a little dap of filled epoxy is going to strengthen that shaft back to original you need to cash in your medical card. The only thing Dave was...

Epoxy is no good for filling dings. It shrinks over time. CA will not shrink. You did good Dave.

Joint Pins - What and why

No.... Being whippy or not whippy has zero to do with the pin.

Joint Pins - What and why

Been doing the same procedure for a lot of years. I did pick up a set of mandrels just for my wet sanding to finish size. If I didn't pay close attention I could on rare occasion blow thru at the joint during that process and create a whole vocabulary of new words. 🤬

    carbon fiber shafts manufacturing

So it's obvious you need to spend more time on the felt to pot balls. Practicing for only a few months will make very few humans play as well as svb. I used to think it was all "hype" also but soon discovered it was just another option for a tool used in the trade.

Where to find Tap and Dies

Just curious....why would need a die to produce these threads? I know the obvious reason, however, these male threaded items are generally already produced in products used for building cues.

Joint Pins - What and why

A few different reasons I would believe..... Cost being one....It's a tool that some just can not afford to purchase yet. 300 dollars would purchase a lot of wood for someone just starting out. The builder has not yet decided on "their" pin.....lots of options in the pin dept. The mandrel is...

Joint Pins - What and why

The only one I've found is a G10 pin acting like a piece of sandpaper. Any metal pin "properly polished", as long as it is started correctly into the shaft cavity, will generally just burnish the inside hole of a maple shaft and will not wear the wood fibers away making for a future sloppy fit...

    Carbon sealer

My biggest complaint with CF is finding a place that will make one to my spec and not theirs. Most are entirely to stiff imo. Thinner wall with a different taper than most have would be a plus. The problem is keeping them straight out of the oven and off the mandrel.

    Rarest Exotic woods

This is common across the board with pretty much all items that are being sold. Especially when it comes to high end and hard to get supply chains.

To make it easier for the ones that preferred to pick out and focus on a sentence or two in my original post. I went back and did an edit on the post so it would be easier for a brain to digest. Enjoy your cues, enjoy the game and have a wonderful day.

    Rarest Exotic woods

Thanks Ralf. I know it's hard for some to understand the formula I use for rare exotic wood replacement when they are on a beer budget with champagne taste. I have enough DI burl left for 1-2 projects from a whole burl I found years ago. One of the most expensive purchases for wood I made at...

    Rarest Exotic woods

Nope....you don't have to pay for anything. I paid for the first piece out of my original start up funds. As a business, if I continue to buy wood without the customer paying to replace it, how would you expect that business to stay in business? As I mentioned, it is simply the formula I use...

I went thru the process to acquire the import permits. Time consuming and of course there's an additional cost. You basically give the government the right to show up at your place and confiscate anything they feel necessary to convict you if they feel there's any funny business going on. You...
