    T Rails

1845 - 1945 There were some models of 'flat rail' tables as early as 1939 or '40, the 'Moderne' for example. By 1945, the year of the Anniversary and Centennial, all were flat rail style I believe. Dale

    Table identification

Or me... :) Looks like a Madison - They had pin stripe inlay. I can't tell for sure if it is there in the pic. Many old tables have lost the original veneer. From the 1924 Catalog. Disclaimer. In those days there were many companies making tables that looked similar. If it is a Brunswick...

    Cue blanks question

Hard to say without seeing the blank, but... it looks like one could merely turn down the end of the blank and put a plain butt sleeve on/over it. IMHO - doing that would have no impact on the structural integrity of the blank. Dale

Pool is dead or is slowing dying. Why is this?

Many reasons, some complex, some simple... Economics, LifeStyle and cultural "evolution". It may be little consolation, but Pool is raging like a runaway wildfire compared to what it was the day before the release of "The Hustler" Dale

    Cue blanks question

The blanks in your pics are pretty much specific to that cuemaker... in Ukraine. They are intended to be used 'as they are' with perhaps some reduction in length, Most 'blanks' used in the USofA are some version of a 4 point or 6 point splice. HTH Dale

1880's Brunswick Billiard table - Brilliant Novelty - Salvage or sell?

Well God bless Google. There are several companies that restore antique tables. One of them MIGHT be willing to trade you a viable pool table for what you have - it is a very desirable style of table - and people who are interested in these aren't looking for something to practice on for their...

    Inside English, Outside English Definition

There will be no confusion if you keep in mind that whether it is Inside english and or Outside english has nothing to do with hitting a rail. When and if the CB contacts a rail, whether it is Running english or reverse depends on the angle of that contact. Dale
