    9' Brunswick Limited Nine FS

I'm selling my baby guys. Divorce has forced my hand and I can't keep it. Limited Nines were a special order item from Brunswick back in the 70's, leather toped rails. Play as well as a GC II but all Pecan wood and beautiful. This one saw little use before I bought it and the rails are...

    New Paul Dayton

Just wanted to share this with you all. Paul was great to work with, very fast and accommodating. When I first got the cue back the stain was a bit dark on the handle, Paul took it back and refinished it no charge! It's all Birdseye, Thuya Burl and Ebony. More/Higher-res shots...

    R.I.P. Peter Falk

I remember an episode of Columbo where one of his "marks" had an a turn of the century Bruniswick table in his mansion. He made several nice shots while politely asking questions of the killer. Oh just one more thing... Loved that show and the man. R.I.P

What brand of cue do the best Taiwan pros use?

I've heard some old colonial hotels in Shanghai have floors of snooker tables sitting abandoned... man I've love to get there.

    Most Consistent Tips?

I recently got hit again by a mix-matched batch of LePros I had put on all my house cues. I may have fallen prey to someone using up the last of a box after cherry-picking singles for friends. Still if the tips were all shipped alike this wouldn't be an issue! Just wanted to hear some opinions...

15 ball rotation, call shot, 15 ball is the game-ball

I learned to play Rotation (61 point version) from an old Chicago player. Here's some of the rules we played with: * When a player fails to contact the lowest numbered ball, the incoming player can play the shot as is or elect to have his opponent shoot again. (push-out on every ball) * Table...

WTT: Barringer Buckeye Burl and Ebony Player

Wow.... I almost bought this one myself. Just couldn't get over the private auction they were running. Instead I ordered myself a new Paul Dayton that I'll be taking delivery very shortly! Good luck to you.. I can't tell you how much sleep I lost agonizing over this very cue.

Excellent results tonight by changing one thing with my stroke

That reaction to pressure is part of the reason I'm going to a more conscious stroke and shot routine. It's true about what they say, 'It's not about how good your good game it. It's about how good your bad game is'. Back when I had that fluid "touch" stroke, my good game was good, my bad game...

Excellent results tonight by changing one thing with my stroke

I'm also coming back after a long break. In another life I had a fluid pump style stroke with a real light grip. I admit it. I was a total feel player :( I managed to get it back and working again, but it's just too high maintenance. Gotta play every damn day with that machinery. So for the...

Excellent results tonight by changing one thing with my stroke

I lengthened the back-stroke of my practice strokes from approx 4 inches to 8. Simple little thing. The effect is probably more in my head but hey that's fine. I probably paid more attention to my stroke by consciously doing something different, and anything would have had the same effect...

Farm a great hitting old house cue for a shaft?

Yea you got me there, 4-points absolutely. Heck, I've had a couple Hoppe single-piece cues much older. I've just never seen Dufferin's like these. I image they were the bottom of the line cue from the early 70's.

Farm a great hitting old house cue for a shaft?

It's highly seasoned wood for sure! I don't think I could get comparable without finding some of that Great Lakes stuff. Alright. I'm gonna go for it :)

Farm a great hitting old house cue for a shaft?

I need a sanity check everyone. I've got a 35yo Dufferin that hits spectacularly. Came free with several others when I purchased my table last year. Much less deflection than most of my shafts. Taper is exactly what I like, just inside of constant ending around 12.5mm tip. Nice firm hit. I'd...
