Does anyone know if Schmelke Cues is still in business? I see some distributors have their cues for sale, but I have been unable to contact Schmelke through email and their website is down.

Ok, a little research.... Tom had a chemist background and spent many years making pool cues before he started making his own layered tips. Lots of interesting info if you study his website.

If you check his website you will find that Tom imported the finest leather from Japan, then made the tips himself. Sooo - they are not made in China as some have claimed, and he didn't have someone else making them for him. Top quality USA made tips at the best price anywhere!!! ;)
