    Triangle and Triumph Tips

Agree with almost everything in your post. The two shits is the only one I would say might be unfair. And you could say their lack of knowledge that they had a problem may be proof of that as well. All I know is the guy I've been talking to/ trying to help by installing test tips, seems very...

WWYD -- 9 ball total trap

Risky, but how about the double the pocket point shot in the upper right hand corner pocket? Outside the box I know, but this is horrible position. Depending on body type, the short rail kick with a bridge might be too tough.

Technique for trimming a cue tip flush with the ferrule

I saw your original question and I see some great posts that I think answer your question. But in case you have more questions on using a blade, or perhaps this is some info you didn't know... I remember when I first saw Joe and Steve at a tournament use a boxcutter blade many years ago. (I...

The Biggest reason Lower level players can't improve ????

Eyes Recently I started playing with glasses. They had big lenses with the top edge at my eyebrow. I'm 58, and balls were just too fuzzy. Hard to see the edges, especially in long sessions. My skill level is 7/8 in APA, so far from any professional level. Now, with these glasses, I could see...

Vernon Elliot "The Faceless Man" - Great Road Player, or The Greatest?

First time I ever seen Wade was at the Golden Cue in Charleston SC. Bill Lawson was with him. Wade was staking Bill against who I can't remember. I was table side and had a real good view. Hard to tell how old Bill was, but I'm guessing mid 60s. Hard to put into words, but Mr. Lawson immediately...

    Benefits of quality balls

Consistency first! Second, All balls look good out the box, but the cheap will dull up fast, get dirty, and won't shine back up like they were out the box.

    Hard Tip vs Soft Tip

Another possibility why the pros tend to go soft, or SS on their selection is time. They mostly play 8 hrs, or more a day. Tips compact. How long before it hardens into a really hard tip that doesn't take chalk well anymore? Perhaps they are just trying to play with something that they can get...

    Hard Tip vs Soft Tip

EMs can't take much heat. If the trimming the tip caused too much heat it could really affect the way the tip plays. Heat will turn em into fluff.
