Going from a 7 ft table to a 9ft table!

This is very true, I have notice that most of your better players can play with their other hand also. And a lot of times this would eliminate using that dam old bridge.

Here is a little story about what one of my friends did at the Rack in Detroit . Not sure what year it was, around 30 years ago or so. Pittsburgh Mike Kasaris and I believe Cotton was running around together and they ended up at the rack one day, well Cotton had to leave and go back home (I...

Going from a 7 ft table to a 9ft table!

Why is it much harder to go from an 7ft table on to a 9ft table? Why is it easier to go from a 9ft table to a 7ft table? I think I know the correct answer, but I would like to see what the rest of my Brothers and sisters here at AZ think! I know probably one of the most stupidest thread ever...

Derby City 9 Ball Race to 7 or 9?

You are rite somewhat, I went there in 2011 with a player that was a decent 9 ball player. He draws Alex in the 4 th round of the 9 ball, Now alex had already won the banks and finished fairly high in the 1 pocket. If Alex beats my friend he wins the all around, well heres what happen my...

How good was James Walden in his prime?

That's why traveling pool players should always have some kind of really good protection! When players are going to strange places and throwing around money left and right, They better either meet a local or came prepared !

Derby City 9 Ball Race to 7 or 9?

Should be a race to 11, That way who ever plays better that day should win in a race to 11. A race to 7or9 a player could luck out and get a few rolls in reach 7or9 and beat the man that just out played him, but going to 11 makes it harder for one to luck out!

How good was James Walden in his prime?

Very nice report Lou, and a great finish also! Hitting the top 24 is something to be proud of Lou, with guys around our speed. I played 1 pocket at the 2010 DCC and I placed tied for 48th, with I believe 308 players are something close to that. That was the 1st big tournament I ever played...

Yes like we are doing now! I wish we could go back to the late 70s, 80s, but we all know those days are gone and never coming back. I do not like all this hi-tech bullshit that is out today! Technology did hurt pool bad, when I was a kid , we were out everyday playing wall ball, football ect...

    One Pocket killed the sport...

Steve, I believe its the other way around, atlease it was in the pool halls in Baltimore. The fruit and poker machines were the biggest money maker in all pool rooms that I ever been in/. Pool would pay the over head, plus the workers salary if they were lucky, all the money came from the...
