    There goes a good thread.

The memory that haunts me the most was with the 4 blade saw machine. I had just spent over an hour replacing all the blades, $100 each by the way, and proceeded to crash them spinning at full speed into the tail stocks. They cut nice slots in the steel centers, and ball bearing and parts of...

    There goes a good thread.

Eric I agree. I think what happens is this. One guy stands up and tells the world, this is how I do it. Another guy stands up and tells the world how he does it, and it's different than the first guy. The first guy, instead of saying cool, I hadn't though of doing it that way, goes off on a...

    General thoughts on this CNC?

This is basically the machine I use for inlay parts. Mine is the wide version I bought a couple of years ago. It's got 2 NSK's with ATC, and a double vacuum hold down plate. I didn't get the screws with it, but probably should have. They are classified as zero backlash, but they're rolled and...

    BobCad Stuck Can't Radius

If I'm not mistaken, when you create the text, you need to choose "vectorize". I don't think BobCad's text generator automatically creates text as a vector. Try that to see if it works. Royce

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

CJ OK. So what part of this: "There's so much wrong with the way the game is presented now that there's little hope of it improving without a complete overhaul.....the old attitudes must die, so new ideas can be born - virtually every change I've seen in the last few years have been...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

Well CJ, I think it's really about how it appears. I felt that it was misleading. Even with that, I still don't think we're on the same coin at all, regardless of sides. As for fixing pro pool, it certainly wasn't meant as a direct quote from you. But based on your other posts, I wouldn't know...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

Well, I wouldn't say that we're playing the same role at all. My goal is growing my business. We do that with technologically, quality, and customer service. You're goal, according to your claims, is to fix pro pool. They may be related, but they are entirely different things. Royce

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

CJ That sounds a lot like evolution. I'm an absolute believer in evolution. It's not an easy thing though. It truly is a battle of the fittest. Only the strong survive. Actions speak louder than words. Royce By the way, my intentions are also only meant for the good of the pool world...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

Not necessarily. I compete with China everyday, and they can make quality products. Often, the cost is as much or even higher than US made products, but they can make good quality products. Royce

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

Satori I don't know of any ownership relationship between Mark Griffin, CSI, or Diamond tables and Cyclop balls. I see the move to the cyclop balls as a customer who was not happy with the business he was doing at the time, and looked for an alternative. When there is no competition for a...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

CJ So have you ever played with them? You didn't really clarify that. Is it just the colors? You do know that they also offer a traditional color set as well, don't you? Will you boycott those as well? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe some of those "other top pros" may have another...

    OB Warranty Charges

Sorry I've not posted to this yet, but this is the first chance I've had. First, I'm glad that your insert trouble worked out and that you're interested in one of our new cues. We do have several models to choose from, so hopefully you can find something that you like. We do have both wrapped...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

CJ I must say, that I'm a bit shocked by this post. It seems like something you might regret at some time in the future. Of course, I don't know how many times you've payed with cyclops balls, but I do know how many times I have. I actually was able to try them several years ago at the BCA...

Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

I'm really sorry Masayoshi, but I don't think your statements can carry any truth or meaning without actually having sent in a ball or balls with problems and then being turned down. Anything else is pure speculation. I know Mark personally, and I can assure you that there isn't a more stand...

    OB Classic+ question

Yes, you can safely take our shafts down some. Our rule is no more than .5mm from original at any given location. So, you can extend the taper some, just don't go too far back. As for Sheldon's mention of heat, it's a valid consideration, just not for our cue shafts. Of course, you don't want...

    Turn down OB-2 shaft?

Suharsh If your shaft is 12.75mm, then it's not an OB-2. The OB-1 is 12.75mm. The OB-2 is 11.75mm. No matter what, any of the OB shafts are good to be turned down as much as .5mm. We don't recommend anything beyond that. Royce

Ivory ban: Are you afraid to offend people with your ivory cues?

Did you know that the current trend of state imposed regulations based on this push to ban ivory to save the elephants, also bans Mammoth Ivory? It's proof positive that this has very little to do with ivory and a lot more to do with personal property rights. Royce

    Question about intentional swerve

PJ I absolutely agree. There's no shame in a top level player, or any level player for that matter, not necessarily being able to explain how a particular shot works. Thanks Royce

    Question about intentional swerve

I think it's important to realize that it's not only possible but it's also quite common or even likely that those who execute a skill like pool at a much higher level than most others do it more subconsciously than consciously. The "Pros", in my experience, can do things things that I can't do...
