***In need of help scheduling a pool league***

Leagues Friend of mine came up with a challenge match type format. Start with small tourney of any game. Maybe ten players and let the tourney results form your list. Winner on top and on down. Or no tourney and pull names from a hat. You challenge up the list and try a get to the top. You can...

    6x12 snooker.

30 ft. Thanks Mitch. When table was first set up we all tried to see how many rails we could hit. Seven was all we could do!

    6x12 snooker.

Snooker cue! May be true. I can't shoot with skinny shafts and I think snooker cues have those and also brass ferrules. These big tables are huge equalizers as far as player skills go. So far no one has showed up with a snooker cue and dominated the game. You could be the first! I jumped on...

    6x12 snooker.

Hole to hole! A kick shot. From in the hole three rails to other hole. Four railer from kitchen.

    6x12 snooker.

There is a six by twelve snooker table in the room I play in. A Dufferin. Same as the cues I guess. Humbling to say the least! Golf ring games mostly. Question is approximately how much distance does cue travel on a long three railer and again on a four railer? I estimate 30 and 40 ft. for those...

Most impressive things from the Southern Classic

Tunica! I was there Tue-Sat and had a great time. Saw Alex and JA play. Alex seems to avoid the crutch and just hangs out two feet of shaft in front of his bridge hand. He also doesn't use an extension on his cue. JA has his height and his pink extension. Cheap hotels ten minutes away $49+...

Myths About Rules/ Bad Habits In 8 Ball

Crazy eight ball stuff! I thought I had heard it all until I ran into this chick that said I couldn't run into her balls! Those are mine and you can't run into them in any way!?!? I just laughed and played her way, being careful not to disturb her balls.

    Scoreboard,Tunica?

Tunica results I would think there would be some AZ buddies in Tunica that would get on their I-pad and shoot out some results. Some results occasionally would be better than nothing. Maybe I'll mosey on down there myself this week. Only about 500 mi. from OKC. In this age of technology you...

Saddle hand tooled 2 x 4 instroke case

Leather Thanks again JB. Very informative. I can tell by your posts you are a gentleman. You could have easily told me to jump in a lake, but you took the high road! AZ has way more good guys than nits, thank goodness.

Saddle hand tooled 2 x 4 instroke case

Tooled. I stand corrected! Somewhat. First to Radar, not meaning to squash your sale or have any influence negatively. To Jb, isn't most embossing done by a machine much like a printing press? I will agree that stamping can be called hand tooled because it is done by hand with tool and mallet...

    Golf ring games

Golf. Thanks. And who would want to get in when someone already has the three hole? LOL! Not me. I think it should be unanimous vote to allow anyone in. But they say it's open, so the four man game could turn into a seven man game which I would never have entered into. I played golf back in...

Saddle hand tooled 2 x 4 instroke case

Hand Tooled? I believe your case is not hand tooled. It is embossed! Big difference. If Instroke made hand tooled cases they would be very proud of them and of course would say they were. Still a good case! Hand tooled cue cases usually go from $600-$800 and up!

    Get a Grip

Tea cup grip! I played an exhibition match against Mike Sigel many years ago and he commented that I had a tea cup grip. I think it's similar to the grip you describe. Daylight between the cue and my palm. Makes the wrist sort of wiggly, but I believe this is where much...

    Golf ring games

The room I play in has a twelve ft. Snooker table. The table is reserved for ring games specifically but heads up golf may be played when the regulars have not arrived for the daily ring game. It is also called an OPEN table in regards to the ring game. Question is once a game begins (usually...

A Question about pool tables...Help please

G.c. I think 1,2,3 will have Formica tops. Threes have adjustable feet. Look under table for a gold decal on the lengthwise support. My three has one. Pics would really help. Condition is everything. In great shape, it could bring 1500-2000 bucks. Lousy $500 to Free!

    Cue Extension

Ext. Looks well made and a decent price. A take-off of a Longoni which I have and paid $50 for in Vegas. Usually $60. Works well but be very careful. The fingers which grip the butt can mar the finish if used wrong. Stick on butt while holding straight up and turn tightener ONLY holding bottom...

    anybody ever try quibids

Qbids Supposedly called penny auctions and been around forever. My nephew works for qbids, his first job out of college. Customer service guy. It's very confusing how it works which lures people in. Bids are $.60 instead of a dollar for whatever reason!? I finally just asked him one day, look...

    Gambling etiquette

Doubling up I learned the hard way on doubling up. A few guys that quit when they get back even. So now it's win it back the way you lost it. Some people don't want to work hard to get it back.

??? - Best way to store your cues - ???

Gun safes. Always amazed at people who have thousands in guns and no safe! Excellent for cues and all other valuables. Guns, knives, jewelry, documents, cash, etc. Etc. I would never leave town if I had no safe.
