    Poor etiquette or sharking?

You're not focused if you let this bother you. I would suggest you take care of business at the table and you'll be better off in the long run.

    Sidearm stroke

He's like, a mile away from the cb, so his bridge ends up near the joint. He exaggerates the follow through but it might be for this one shot - hard to say if he does this all the time. To another poster, Orttman isn't a sidewinder like this guy. In fact Orttman is pretty normal lining up. It's...

    Cue Balance Point Misconception ???

This sounds sounds like way too much overthinking, and the idea of every cue different for everybody is not new by the way. There is a reason why this idea has never taken hold. It's overthinking because when there is an industry "standard", ie the 58" cue for instance, people get used to it...

    Opinions on metal jointed cue

The more hard material you put in a cue, the harder the hit. In it's elemental form, two-piece cues are meant to simulate a one-piece with the convenience of portability. You can add a lot of stuff to any part of the cue like inlays(which make no difference in hit) to the butt, to points(which...

Robert Harris Cues just sent me a PM that shows exactly what type of person he is.

This is what I get for not visiting azb often enough. Sounds like I missed all the fun. Cuemaking is a business like any other. Popularity is based on supply and demand. There are several reasons why good cuemakers are popular, there are even more reasons why they're not. In this business of...

Some Of the Worst Advice Given On AZB

Probably the useless threads about how to make pool popular, and posters throwing in their 2cents worth.

Some Of the Worst Advice Given On AZB

That's not really bad advice, however it ignores the fact that everyone is different, something I have found most "teachers" ignore.

Name the strangest action you've seen.

Impossible. A 9ball table is too spread out and too many long shots to not let the 9 hit any rail. There's also bound to be a few balls either tied up or sitting on the rail. Thing is, the guy can talk it up all he wants and chances are no one has enough money to be worth it to them - maybe win...

Name the strangest action you've seen.

Player wins if he can make the ob hit the bottom rail.

How Much Is A Tip of English?

It sounds like an exact measurement but i think it's a vague one. If dead center is the center of the tip aimed to the center of the cb, then literally, a one tip english would be exactly one tip's diameter off the center. But I think that is too much, and I think many people refer to a tip's...

    question about damage during shipping...

If you think you're going to get recompensed from USPS, you're craaaaazy. You may as well will the money owed to your grandkids because you ain't gonna see it. USPS loses sh**. Fedex or UPS.

Shaft Wax ( Discussing methods of shaft maintenace )

I think alcohol sucks the wood dry. Hand oils is a matter of taste. It's still an oil and some are loyal to the idea of rubbing oil into a shaft. You just have to keep it clean is all.

What causes a cue to get a "dead" hit?

Great question,,,mainly because I don't think there's an answer - this could lead to endless discussions and arguing LOL. Anecdotally, I used to own a couple of cues(different occasions) of a really really really well known cuemaker. Both dead hits. I just thought that's the way cues should...
