    Tap or Template?

I wonder if making every straight pool rack perfect so that it opens up when you breathe on it is good for the game. It takes more skill to maneuver around to open clusters two and three times. I'm not saying every rack will open up 100% with a template, but it seems like it will make things...

    Sharivari on aiming....

Thank you. I have another video you are going to hate. This is what happens when a grammar school teacher tries to do science. He does not control for bias and instead makes up an answer based on nothing but assumptions based on that bias:

    Sneaky. I'll look again

    I don't see anything. Odd.

Yeah that 5 second thing wasn't coming up for me. Glad it did for others.

    Sharivari on aiming....

Here's a link to that original discussion. Unfortunately, and I don't know if this is typical for an 8 year old video, they make you sit through 3 minutes of commercials... at least that's what happened when I just played it...

    Sharivari on aiming....

I posted a video doing it and I've seen at least one other guy's.

    Sharivari on aiming....

I think he fell prey to the problem the old harmonica player had when he first came in here. He assumed we were a bunch of ignorant rubes and didn't think very deeply about what he was claiming. "I learned CTE and in a week I ran 100 balls"! Blah, blah. Renegade said he could demonstrate why...

    Sharivari on aiming....

He was proficient at banks by the age of 10 according to a podcast.

    Sharivari on aiming....

That may be true. What is the purpose of the curtain video? Most new players who watch that video are going to be wowed into thinking that can only be done because of CTE. That is false. That's really my only point. It's been said many times before, but the curtain video would be more...

    Sharivari on aiming....

Stan has an impressive video of banks with a curtain. He doesn't mention that banks is his favorite game (a Kentucky staple) and was playing at a high level by the age of 16. 60 years of additional banks play and guess what? He's really good at banking, curtain or no curtain. Is CTE the...

    CTE Testimonials

He said 4" pockets. He left out "bar box." He has something he thinks works, though he admittedly hasn't found a CTE method that suits him best. Good luck to him!

    Sharivari on aiming....

In your last CTE demonstration you missed I think 12 out of 14 of the exact same shot and there was no curtain.

    Sharivari on aiming....

That was me. I did three shots aligned with the diamonds and shot the length of the table as in Stan's video. It took literally one or two shots to zone in on each shot as I have never shot a ball blind like Stan has hundreds if not thousands of times. My video demonstrated that there is...

Sensitivity of Power Draw Shots - Physics or Mechanics?

I didn't mean I stayed down because my back was fatigued. I stayed down because it was easier to get to the next shot that way. By doing that for several shots my back would then start to fatigue and I'd start to lose form, if that makes sense. Thanks for the advice, Fran!

Sensitivity of Power Draw Shots - Physics or Mechanics?

Hey Bob I have a question about VP4. I think I asked PJ this long ago but I don't recall the answer. I have yet to pick up VP4. Is it possible to set up a particular shot and then shoot it over and over with say different spin or speed? Can you place balls precisely on diamond intersections...

Sensitivity of Power Draw Shots - Physics or Mechanics?

So I did a little more practice and even got the laser out to check on alignment. In rereading my initial comments I think I'm giving a misleading picture. The draw shots are not going haywire all over the place like I'm suggesting. Sometimes I hit 3 or 4 shots in a row without standing up...

Sensitivity of Power Draw Shots - Physics or Mechanics?

Yes, that is what Oikawa said above. Thanks for the input.

Sensitivity of Power Draw Shots - Physics or Mechanics?

Well, maybe that's an exaggeration. That has happened but only when I was clearly trying to put too much juice on the ball. Realistically we're probably talking a half diamond error max.
