    CTE Testimonials

It's not criticism at all. I could explain the question to you but there's really no point. Oh, and CTE is not objective.

    CTE Testimonials

What an odd thing to say.

    CTE Testimonials

Maybe he needs CTE in his life.

It would be nice to have Mr. Byrne's win in context. Is he a beginner? A pro? What big tournament did he win?

    CTE Testimonials

I said I would not post in this thread again, a year and a half ago, and I haven't. I did not agree, however, to bite my tongue when my position is being mischaracterized and history rewritten. Let's leave it at that.

    Gus Szamboti 70's

I think we should give logdog some slack. He did put a number on what he wants for the cue so what more can you ask?

    Gus Szamboti 70's

@Logdog: It's an honest question. For instance, if you asked me what I'd sell my cue for I come up with a figure that is much higher than it's true value. If someone offered me $30,000 for my cue today I would not take it. Ask me again in 10 years and I might jump on that, might not. In...

    Gus Szamboti 70's

Maybe we are approaching this the wrong way. You are not willing to sell the cue at market price if that market price is not to your liking so the question becomes what is your minimum price?

    Gus Szamboti 70's

Everyone knows you won't take a nickel less than $18000. If three people tell you it's worth $18000 then you will wait for $20000. Maybe just put it back in the closet and let your heirs deal with it. IMO.

    Moderation Change and Rules Clarification

LOL. I agree, but I know what he's saying. Sometimes I read a thread that interests me about this or that player, or something that happened, and then I see that the thread is 12 years old! D'OH!

    solidifying vision fundamentals/the eyes

It's not even close. IMO it's like 10% aim at most and 90% everything else.

    Original Bushka or Gus cue?

I'd have to weigh them I'm not sure. They are original though.

    Original Bushka or Gus cue?

    Mine is 18.75 oz actually.

    Eagle eye and sightright

Maybe I explained it wrong. At first, it didn't look or feel straight, but it was straight as seen in the shot results. In surprisingly short time, it looked and felt right. Maybe there was an easier route for me to get there, but I'm good where I'm at now. My point is that "vision center"...

    Eagle eye and sightright

My journey started after I found out from two people telling me something about 3 years apart from each other. They both said my cue was not on the shot line and was cocked away from my body by maybe 1/4". I would have bet almost anything that they were wrong. Everything looked perfect and I...

    Eagle eye and sightright

I was too short in my response. I'm saying that the concept of a "vision center" is not universally accepted as being critically important. Mark Wilson was mentioned. He does not advocate finding your "vision center" which also seems to mean different things to different people. I just don't...

    Eagle eye and sightright

I think "vision center" is overrated. The shot can look straight but that does not mean you will draw the cue back straight.

    Face square?

That's all that matters. Most times you'll get what you can out of a thread after the first 5 or 10 posts, or maybe a week. After that, the thread wanders off to where the wind takes it. If a topic branches off in your thread it isn't really practical to start a new thread to discuss.

    Face square?

Unless he specifically told you that his particular stance led to his back problems, as opposed to simply a lifetime of playing pool and just being alive, I'd say he's doing fine for a 70 year old. It seems a stretch to use him as an example of how a particular stance can cause neck problems...
