How is the shaft, does it play okay? I have one that has a shaft made by Ed Young, it plays great, as long as you don’t mind the thickness of the butt. If you are keeping it it may be worth it to get a shaft made. If I just had to use the original shaft it wouldn’t get near as much play time...

Old school here, 12.75 is the sweet spot, but 13 is fine.

I prefer ivory ferrules, I like how they play and really like how they stay clean. Not a lot to be said for “showing off” a ferrule. That being said, I haven’t ordered a cue with ivory ferrule for a many years, but I have no qualms about buying an old cue with ivory.
