What games do you play on the snooker table?

I play snooker (American rules), snooker (English rules), 9-ball, 8-ball, rotation, and cut-throat on my snooker table. I get some funny rolls on slowly hit balls on the rack end of the table, so I haven't played one pocket or straight pool on it. I prefer playing with the bigger balls...

I take it you don't read very much. Beautiful cues, Mike.

    Take it like a MAN.

I think it has more to do with protecting the ego than anything else.

    Out of curiousity...

So it sounds like these people are able to play in spite of the spasms rather than concentrating to eliminate them at crucial moments.

    Out of curiousity...

I was watching the Kunihiko Takahashi/Roger Griffis semifinal from the 1998 Challenge of Champions the other night. I noticed that Takahashi had almost constant facial tics and spasms, including one that caused his eyes to close. My question is (if there is anyone out there that knows), are...

    Snooker in LV?

Thanks, everyone. 760 is what I have at home. I am hopeful that one day before I die I will find and be able to play on a snooker table with napped cloth. May have to have my table recovered. Jackson, when are you going to come out and shoot some balls again? Cardiac Kid, do you know what...

Want a table, how much would you expect to spend?

A good rule of thumb is three months' wages... Oh, wait, that's engagement rings. Yeah, what they said.

    Snooker in LV?

Are there any snooker tables in Las Vegas? Going to be there from the 13th-20th of July and not much of a gambler. Thanks!

    Taking a break......

We're here on earth to learn about relationships and love, not ego based activities like shooting pool. Good for you that you recognize where your priorities lie.

    Playing different table sizes

I've found that for me, I need to pay closer attention to where the pocket is for the first half hour or so of playing on a larger or smaller table. Instead of feeling where the pocket is, I need to actually look at the angle, path, and contact point to make sure I'm hitting where I need to to...

    12 footer in Seattle/Tacoma area?

Did Malarkey's (City Lights) jettison theirs? I drove all the way up there to play one time and they were having a tournament with all the paraphenalia for the tournament laid out on the snooker table. Very disappointing. It's the only one I've ever seen that actually had napped cloth on it...
