    Best One-Handed Players

I've played Ronnie Allen jacked up one-pocket for $100 a game even, I was 19 years old, ended up losing to him. He was a couple balls better than me, although he could have been keeping the games close on purpose. (he is one of the kings of hustling) When I was 17 I played Mike Massey one-pocket...

    Best One-Handed Players

I've heard that Lou Butera ran over a hundred balls one-handed. (and he did it pretty fast too) does anyone know what the record is for straight pool one-handed? edit: don't be getting me into trouble BigDog, there's probably more guys who can play one-handed than we can imagine. It's pretty...

anyone else have video proof of making this shot?

A few old guys I knew when I was a kid could make it pretty regularly. It's a cool shot because of the slow speed needed to spin it back to the pocket. really cool shot, closest I've ever come is an inch from making it. I'll see if I can make it one-handed on film.

The straighter the stroke, the more powerful the stroke

Yes, that's the essence of a good stroke. Unfortunately most beginners poke at the ball and many B players who feel like they're accomplished players are just hitting it harder on power shots but still hitting "at" the cueball and not through it, even more so for the light touch shots. It's...

Kamui Chalk Really Improves my game

yeah, look me up and you can send me a file of some shots and I'll make a collab video. I'll think of some ideas, let me know what type of video you think we should make.

Kamui Chalk Really Improves my game

you're questioning a young kid who said that. You're also putting words into our mouths, no one said anything about giving us extra draw or spin abilities. You should give him the benefit of the doubt and realize that he's probably talking about confidence. No need to take it so literal. It's a...

    Are fundamentals just a myth?

I think the misconception happens because talented players can overcome not having sound form and stroke principles with disgusting amounts of practice and competition. I don't like the term fundamental either because it has multiple meanings. I spent 10 years gambling and playing every waking...

Kamui Chalk Really Improves my game

my 4 year old son and I just watched it, that was awesome!!!!! I love your "You thought #24 was my best? Well you were wrong!! I'm raising my skills at a total new, and awesome level" that kind of confident message with the music and the sick shots to back it up is cool. I think it works...

The straighter the stroke, the more powerful the stroke

umm, let's see if I can put my idea into english.... you see a lot of people breaking with a straight stroke but they start accelerating as fast as they can from the back of their stroke and by the time their tip gets to the cueball it is decelerating. Allison Fisher is a perfect example, she...

The straighter the stroke, the more powerful the stroke

I'm not sure if I agree completely with you. I think acceleration timing is the biggest factor of stroke power and speed. I do a break demonstration for someone who doesn't understand the concept. I use about a 1.5 inch bridge to break very hard to show that the acceleration timing has more to...

    One player to mimic

I would mimic Buddy Hall's stroke, Ronnie Alcano's rhythm, SVB's focus, Rodney Morris' speed, the break of Bustamante and Shane's lovechild, the determination of Pagulayan and the perfection of Allison Fisher.

The most unique Trick Shot Artist in the world.

"aren't going to make any dough putting your business in the street" another statement people like to make constantly that isn't true, at least in the world I live in. I'll play anyone in the world and film it and share the stats and have a line of people willing to play me. I've always shared...

If I was Charlie Williams I would...

Since "95%"or some other ridiculous amount of the pool players in America know nothing about Charlie Williams and most have probably never been on azbilliards and considering that you know nothing about what Williams "knows in his heart" and the rest is gossip and open to interpretation your...

The most unique Trick Shot Artist in the world.

Joey, if you're talking about one-on-one trick shot shooting I wouldn't even compete against Florian. I would just set my cue on the ground, fall to my knees and start bowing. BUT if you're talking about one-on-one competition in any pool game, (excluding 3-cushion) I would demolish him. He...

That's Earl's way of a double steer. I think he feels that he deserves it and I couldn't think of a top pro who wouldn't want to be in the HOF.

Don't Make The Game So Hard To Learn

wow, that's a higher rating than I've seen anywhere I've lived. The players that are known as B players will only run out maybe 1 in 10 racks and that's on their good days, nowhere close to "reasonable chance to get out." Maybe there's been a change in the rating system and everyone just wants...
