Cue Ball reaction after impacting a rail.

Put another way relevant to your response.. I did not say "ONLY spin has an effect on exit angles.", I said "Spin ONLY has an effect on exit angles." (Clarifying that I was referring to "side" spin.) Where that ONLY is applied in the sentence has a big effect on meaning. Don't put words in my...

Cue Ball reaction after impacting a rail.

But we aren't talking about other things that can affect the exit angle. The statememt was specifically about (side)spin only affecting the exit angle, not the entry angle. A light falling on the table in the middle of a stroke can also affect the entry/exit angle, but I did not feel the need...

If you could choose your pool super power

I think some players are born without whatever chemical process causes nervousness/fear. (Or it takes a ton more stimulus to generate it..) Might be why they tend to partake in risky behavior.. They simply don't physically feel fear the same way other people do. Never get that shot of adrenaline...

America vs Rest of the World

Exactly this. In Germany, at least, it IS fairly easily for a talented young person to get to at least 700. They can play in leagues, they get VERY good training, and they have a ton of killers to play against, to learn "what it is that they need to learn". They will never get banned from a...

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

As pertains to Blue Labels, I agree.

Cue Ball reaction after impacting a rail.

Spin ONLY has an effect on exit angles. Tangent line combined with draw/follow is what affects the entry angle. On anything more than a very slowly struck ball, with extreme spin. Edited to clarify "side" spin. Oh, wait. That was made clear by differentiating draw/follow separately. But some...

SJM Final Thoughts on the 2023 US Open

Chris managed to get Omar Al Shaheen to give him either the 7, or the 8 ball at Derby (I think it was this year?), and I forget whether they were playing 10 ball or 9 ball.. Whatever it was, Omar was in a dead trap, and got his nuts shot in. Chris is knocking on the door, and if he can figure a...

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

I played on 4 1/4" Diamonds at DCC for the first time ever earlier this year, and they were eating my lunch at first. Grew into being able to play somewhat competently on them by the end of the week, and when I found out they had some here in Germany, I hopped on it most rikky tik. Got one in...

We are not in a "hotbed" of pool in our area. Other areas have a greater concentration of great players.

My thought on tourney tour and tight pockets

4.5" is absolutely NOT good enough. Good amateur players can run 5 packs on those size pockets, and pros should get a payoff for their superior pocketing abilities. Plus, absolutely nothing wrong with having a little bit of play post break. Contests between elite pros should not just be "runout...

    WWYD 10 ball

Ehhh... If you get thin on the 9, you got a nice thin cut that easily travels all the way up table, and back down. If you land full, you are good as well. You gotta come up really short to land bad on this ball going three rails. REALLY short.

I'm new to ebay, same cue listed by 3 different people for 3 different prices, what does it mean?

Big red flag. If the low price post does not answer as well, it's a 100% pass. I am at work, so I can't actually view the auctions, but the lack of response and multiple listings gives me a bad feeling. If this is supposed to be a legit Balabushka, the low price also throws up red flags.

I'm new to ebay, same cue listed by 3 different people for 3 different prices, what does it mean?

It's not just about the percentage. It's about the age of the account, how many sales, and how recent those sales are. And the reviews, and whether they look legit. If the account is a number of years old, has consistent positive reviews, and has a lot of recent activity, with good reviews, then...

I'm new to ebay, same cue listed by 3 different people for 3 different prices, what does it mean?

Well, what is the seller's rating/feedback? It's the only way Ebay has of giving the buyer some information about how trustworthy a seller is. And I would look up information on what recourse you will have if buyer scams you. Might be, you just get your money back, no questions asked. If you buy...

America vs Rest of the World

I specifically was talking about it not being hard for a teen from "any" country to reach 700 Fargorate, of course, assuming they have the physical talent and personal drive. As well as access to quality equipment. Physical talent and drive are universal, and a certain percentage of people are...

America vs Rest of the World

Lol.... I live in Germany. There are at least 3 people in my club alone, north of 650, and they are adults with jobs. I know of at least 4 players in my immediate area and who play in Oberliga that are officially over 700, and who regularly play Eurotour events.

America vs Rest of the World

It It's their "general inability to get funds/approval/visas to travel". Only the absolute world crushers get their shot, and if they don't beat pretty much everyone they play right out the gate, unlikely to get a second chance. So really, only the ones just slaughtering the other players in...

Anyone Use A Rhino Carbon Fiber Shaft?

Lol.. It is the "Saga of BloodNinja", which harkens back to the earlier days of the internet.... 1996-1997 or so. Guy was going to into chatrooms and pretending he wanted to cybersex with the ladies... And then he would do this....... There like 15-20 of these out there. OP put it right across...
