I'm new to ebay, same cue listed by 3 different people for 3 different prices, what does it mean?

I found a cue, its listed as I mentioned by 3 different usernames, one for 1200$ one 800$ one 480$ - the price varies alot but the catch is that its the same screenshots copy/paste, he didn't even take another pictures, its the same exact pics, does this mean its a scam or can I buy the lowest price?

I ask here because I'm sure people here have encountered this before and there's a meaning for it, I dont want to be scammed. Thanks!

Forgot to mentioned its used cue, so its the same cue not like "new" sold 3 different times i.e. production, no its one used cue.

I had the same experience about a month ago, the pictures were exactly the same. One said good condition, the other said "like new", yet scratches were visible and the shipping location was from overseas.

Let the Buyer beware. Look elsewhere! If it looks like shit, smells like shit, and tastes like shit.... you know the rest..

Yes all 3 listings from same location, the only reason i'm asking is because I like the cue. I mean maybe they do this as strategy to try and get the highest amount $$?? What happens if i buy the cheapest, will I receive the cue or my money is gone?

I mean I want that cue haha, I been looking for it for weeks. When I found one weeks ago (Different one) the seller sent me dm next day saying some local guy purchased it, I was bummed.

Well, what is the seller's rating/feedback? It's the only way Ebay has of giving the buyer some information about how trustworthy a seller is. And I would look up information on what recourse you will have if buyer scams you. Might be, you just get your money back, no questions asked. If you buy with PayPal, I think PayPal has very good buyer protection.

It's not just about the percentage. It's about the age of the account, how many sales, and how recent those sales are. And the reviews, and whether they look legit. If the account is a number of years old, has consistent positive reviews, and has a lot of recent activity, with good reviews, then it's probably safe. Still smells funny that it is the same picture being used, and multiple prices in the same area. I'd message the seller and ask them to explain that. If that explanation doesn't pass the smell test, then I would look elsewhere.

And as always, what's the current market value? Anyone significantly below that, despite any number of positive reviews, needs to explain why they are selling well below market value. If they don't want to, then run away. You can look up completed listings on Ebay to ascertain current market value.

You know what, ill post them here even though I want the cue. But I don't feel safe 100%

Yes I messaged the one that lists for 1k and 700, they did not answer. Then I found new listing of the same photos at price of 490.

Big red flag. If the low price post does not answer as well, it's a 100% pass.

I am at work, so I can't actually view the auctions, but the lack of response and multiple listings gives me a bad feeling. If this is supposed to be a legit Balabushka, the low price also throws up red flags.

From my understanding its ADAM hellstetter GB from Japan which is exactly what I was looking for...but ok ill pass on it, unless someone here knows one of these usernames maybe he tries to sell this ADAM balabushka for best price. who knows.

No way man. Stay away. 3 auctions with the exact same pictures? Either all 3 are scams, or 1 is legit, and the other 2 stole the pictures. And its from outside the USA.

Also there are probably a few members on here who may have an Adam's Balabuska. I bet if you make a post that you want to buy one, someone will have one. I can't imagine they are worth more than 300 USD range used. The demand for them is pretty low.

I think none of the three sellers on Ebay actually has the cue. The images are from an old sale, maybe 10 years ago. They are going to take your money -- probably talk you into PayPal F&F -- and be gone into the night. If you refuse to give them money in a way that you can't get a refund, they will cancel your purchase and leave the lure out there until someone does make a mistake or Ebay gets enough complaints to shut down the fraudulent accounts. Then they'll just get more accounts.

And if you are attracted to the lure of the name -- "Balabushka" -- you may be interested to know that the joint doesn't even use the same thread that George Balabushka used.

I saw these cues yesterday on eBay. I’d stay away.

The item in question is for an Adam Balabushka, built for Adam Japan made mostly in Universal Cue in China from 1998-2011 or so. (Edit/. i initially put 2004-2011) I have one. Plays great. Feels great. Onw of the most solid cues I own. The prices are within what you might expect for this vintage ($500-$900).
