Im fairly sure it was built full splice then cut for the jump handle . At any rate, it hits better. Not that hard to understand. Lots of people buy the jump break gilberts and use as a player because they hit well.

I liked this cue so well and considered it such a value that I purchased a bacote jump break. I must say the high quality bacote that Gilbert uses as well as the birdseye maple makes a breathtaking cue. The jump break performs very well too. Full splice. Unbelievable. Many thx to Brian at J&J cues.

Thing is, the rings catch light without being gaudy. The wood has just enough swirl to make it nice. He is an artisan
