The reason Jacoby liked Schuler cues may have been thebpropriety joint. It was well liked especially around Chicago. Schuler didn't make elaborate or stunning cues but the hit is very nice. You seldom see an actual Schuler for sale.
When many will say a cue is a cue, I appreciate the amount of info you packed in a few concise sentences. On your good cues, is that the order in best to worse?. I did hit a scruggs sneaky once. It wasn't goodbut it may have been a bad cue. Ive been leary of buying a scruggs since. Should I be?
Im bored with this one boys. Signing off . I did especially like the one on full splice cues. I said they hit better than any cue.Everyone called me nasty names. This one never had any real traction. I apologize.
And I think this one is a winner. After all, I see joss cues for a grand. Custom merry widow for 3400. What a joke. Scruggs went from 1200 to 1800 to 3000 in months. The sellers arent wanting to sell at those prices so I'm not wanting to buy.
Every cue is prolly overpriced unless you make cues. I'll say this, when you buy a gilbert, barnhart, pierce, runde, you won't need a cf shaft for it. Their base maple shafts are splended.
Ive purchased a few cuemaker cues. JJ CUES sell Andy Gilberts. It's not a "custom" but good enough for me. Just a player but that play is outstanding. I have a Drexler on order. I did ask for 12.8 diameter cue shaft. Turquoise or malachite diamonds on a full splice. He offered suggestions and I...
Few builders take calls or even answer emails. Vicki at SW does is very helpful but 19 years behind. Andy Gilbert answers nothing. Mcworter nothing. Drexler answers the phone and will chat with you. A great guy.
