Lol! It’s all good, I should have been more specific about it. My scenario is about leaving the original insert (5/16x14) in a CF shaft and converting it to work on a speed joint. I was thinking of using a 21/64 drill bit & reamer, but not sure if this is the right size that would work before...

Has anyone converted a shaft with a 5/16x14 joint to fit a Pechauer butt-section with the speed joint screw? If yes, how complicated was the work and what tools were used to make it happen? Thanks in advance
