    Playing characteristics of shaft wood

I play with carbon, but part of the beauty I think of wood is each piece will have its own characteristic's. Two piece's can come from the same tree, have the same taper, same ferrule, same tip, same diameter but can have different weight, density, balance point and hit. Some people like that...

    NEED YOUR OPINION...

Mezz cues are the tits, even if you get one of their shafts to try out they are the tits! Just gotta make the jump and spend the money to find out what feels good to you. I have had one Carolina custom it was beautiful but I did not like the feel of the cue what so ever, it was a solid ivory...

See if anyone can identify this cue?

Reminds me of an old Brunswick house cue as well, Thats my vote. Would make one hell of a player if it's straight, even as a conversion cue depending on the weight and straightness.

Best Tip on the Market - soft to medium

I would consider the S a medium soft and it breaks in nicely.

    BECUE Engage 11.8

Yes I have played with a Z3, deflection should be similar but totally different playing shaft, taper is pro on the engage vs the conical on the z3. The engage is stiffer, but if you are trying to go carbon I can totally recommend the engage.

    BECUE Engage 11.8

Thank you sir! Happy new year!

    BECUE Engage 11.8

-Slightly more Deflection than the Revo " maybe" but nothing too out of this world. I feel after my changes I made they are evenly matched -Both shafts are known as stiff but I'd maybe say the engage is a tad less stiff. The engage had a way better taper, plus the revo 11.8's mic up at 11.98...

Best Tip on the Market - soft to medium

Kamikaze Premium brown soft is pretty damn good tip for the price, even the normal brown ones are good in my opinion. Don't like their Elite series at least the medium I had tried glazed over wayyyyy to quickly.

    BECUE Engage 11.8

Upon further review, I ended up not liking the HOW medium tip that I ordered on it. It was not a terrible tip by any means but something just seemed a bit off for me. I replaced it with a Black Diamond tip I had in stock, after hours of play it still felt off, if anything I felt it had more...

What to put on the ferrule end of the shaft to prevent chalk from sticking into the wood?

Everything lol It literally is the current chalk of all chalks. First off it is super clean you will not see any "spit" marks on the felt, by that I mean after chalking the first time the spray streak that some chalks leave after the first hit. You will not have dirty hands or a dirty shaft...

    Earl's Fat Butt Wrap...for sale?

Bicycle handle bar grip tape could work too, but I know from personal experience that electrical tape works great as well.

    Triad tips...................

These are the tits, especially for the price, They play well on carbon and wood. But of course this is user preference, also with how many I have installed they seem to be consistent, I have only had one have slight lift on the layers on the top but by no means would I call it a "delimitation...

Which production cue maker would you buy from?

In no particular order Mezz, Predator, Jacoby, Those are the three I can say I have owned or tried many of, Id even say entry level players cues shot pretty good and close to a mcdermott "hit" The softer hitting of the three first listed I would say are Jacoby, they just don't hit crisp or stiff...
