    Sold Keith Josey Merry Widow

Keith Josey merry widow, bocote with wrapless black-stained handle model B03-b. Keith Josey is considered one of the finest custom cue makers in the country with a spotless reputation. He has a waiting list of approximately 9 months last time I checked, maybe longer now. This cue has a somewhat...

    Meucci Cues

Sooooo...if someone has a markedly different experience than you, it must be because they want to be popular and safe, or just because they like to bash successful people? How utterly ridiculous and narrow minded. Just be happy you've received stuff you're happy with and have some empathy for...

    Mezz cue advice?

I don't know, I was just on Mezz USA and very few cues had "out of stock" notes. Almost everything could be added to a cart and purchased.

    Mezz Sneaky Pete review

I just got a Mezz Sneaky Pete in Purple heart. I'd never played with one before, but every single time anyone on this site mentions Mezz, it's always extremely favorable, and I've never seen a bad word about Mezz, which we can all agree is pretty unusual for any manufacturer or cue builder...

    Mezz cue advice?

Not that hard to find, actually. Pool Dawg will sell them when they get stock, and Mezz USA keeps inventory, I think. I just bought the Purple Heart Sneaky Pete and it's a beautiful, well-made player. I'm impressed.

    Searing Cue

How you can possibly believe Searing is either honest or a nice guy is beyond me. Maybe at one time, but allowing backorders like this to happen, with no updates, and people accepting it, is absurd, and borderline criminal.

    Is It Asking Too Much?

Sadly, it probably is too much to ask. In my experience a lot of people (I hate to say most, but that might also be true) are lazy and inconsiderate, and if everybody were to clean up after themselves and actually respect the property of the owner where they're playing it would shock me. I wish...

    Searing Cue

I'm surprised that, if all this is true, anyone would defend the cue maker. I don't care how good people think his cues might be. This is either gross incompetence or fraud. My only experience with a custom cue maker is a Plain Jane I got from Keith Josey. He did exactly what he said, at a fair...

    Mezz cue advice?

I went ahead and bought one. Review to follow. Oddly enough I noticed the same thing; run your fingers along the cue and you can hardly feel where the joint is.

WX Sigma shaft with United joint.

    Mezz cue advice?

I have an opportunity to buy a Mezz Sneaky Pete. I've never played with one or known anyone who owns one, but the comments I've seen here suggest most consider Mezz to be one of if not the best production cues on the market. I've contacted Mezz and they gave me their butt diameter, which is...

    Value for money price point?

What makes a "great" cue? Whatever you play well with. There are those who would say anything straight with a good tip is all you need. I know several high-skill players that have played the same Players cues for years and still use them and will take your money all day long. That said, for a...

Pool is becoming a rich man's sport

If my local pool hall had charged $20/hour I would never have gotten started in the game. Outrageous.

    Production Cues vs. custom

Soooo...if someone doesn't think custom cues are better than a production cue that they absolutely love and wouldn't trade, they're out of touch with reality or have a flat-earther mentality? Nothing you say is factual. Everything you say is subjective, and arrogant. If you believe it then it's...

SCAMMER UPDATE : MATHEW BARGERSTOCK & his co XLR8 Carbon Fiber Shafts

It's too bad about XLR8. I bought a shaft from him a couple years ago and it plays pretty well. He was legit back then, so I'm always a little sad to see a small businessman go bad and his company fail.

    Mezz vs lower end customs

Interesting. I'll give Mezz a call and see if I can get a measurement.

    Mezz vs lower end customs

I also have a Josey merry widow and it's a great player. I've never played with a Mezz but have heard nothing but favorable comments on this website. I would consider buying one, but I've been told they have a thick butt diameter and I prefer something slim. My Pechauers both have the best...

    Does this ad bother you?

You don't even get the irony of your remark, do you? Your original post was not truly pool-related; just an overly puritanical take on how a company should write their advertising. Perhaps you should relax next time you feel needlessly offended.

    Does this ad bother you?

This statement is even more ridiculous than your original. Ethical? Are you kidding? In the name of all that's holy please stop.
