    Cue Energy Transfer

I recommend giving the topic more thought. Contact with the cueball begins and ends before any "absorption" can take place with the hand. You're conclusion contains the reason why you're not in a position to draw your conclusion. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Cue Energy Transfer

"Facts" give way to a real man's observations incessantly over human history. I believe they call this "science". Lots of "facts" aren't facts anymore. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    The New "No Powder" Rule

So get rid of chalk that sticks all over the cue ball, but keep baby powder that sticks all over all the balls? Interesting... KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

Which ball set should I buy?

I would personally want to play with the Aramith Tournament or Super Pro. Measle cueball should be available with either. Very noticeable difference between those and lower level balls. I think there is even a difference between the Pro and Tournament set. You really do get what you pay for...

should a 8 ball player only practice 9 ball?

9 ball is a game more focused on execution and position routes that repeat over and over. It's good for any game to be aware of these patters and be able to execute them on command. So yes, *some* 9 ball practice ought to help. But probably even more effective is to grab a book like The Pro...

    Derby City hotel or info

Hey friends. I won a qualifier to go to Derby City. I've never been before. I'm aiming to play the pro 9 ball event. Does anyone have any words of wisdom regarding the Horseshoe hotel or any other traveling details? It seems the hotel may be full. Anyone have an inside track for rooms or...

with the long-running popularity of the predator bk cues

Break cues and jump cues have different requirements in order to perform well. Predator break cues do that job extremely well. They jump kinda crappy. BK3 is ok, BK Rush is actually pretty good for full cue jumps. But nothing compared to a real jump cue. The whole concept of a break/jump is...

    Shaft comparison

I don't know. I'll give it a shot. A high quality wood shafts offers many opportunities to appreciate the craft of pool cues. Wood is interesting and unique...each shaft is a natural thing with a personality, each one unique. The hit, feel, sound of a great shaft has a value unto itself...

    Shaft comparison

They really are different things. A really nice wood shaft is nice for reasons other than the ones that make the Revo nice. You really need to hit a bunch of balls with the Revo to appreciate what makes it desirable. Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

force follow power shot, how to hit?

Actually wrist action does indeed add velocity. Your stroke is the same speed either way, as far as your forearm moving forward. So you either have a stationary hand, or a hand that is moving on top of the arm motion. That really is pure physics. It incorporates both the principles of levers...

force follow power shot, how to hit?

I find using my ring finger as the main gripping finger very much promotes eliminating the muscles that twist the hand. When I finish mu straightest strokes, my first finger and thumb open up considerably. Check out some of the grip videos by Barry Stark. Interesting stuff. KMRUNOUT

force follow power shot, how to hit?

Earl has shown me this shot in person...for a good while. He claims it is not a follow shot. He says it is all english. Seeing it up close, I have mixed feelings. He does get so much side spin on the ball that it makes a unique sound I have not heard elsewhere. That's what he said...

Why are age and gender factors?

In short, I'd look at testosterone. It very much plays a part in orienting an organism to a competitive situation. Confidence, among certain other brain states, seem born in it. The will to win, to not fail, to be dominant, to be the best, to know you're better than your opponent, etc. all...
