I think the best layered tips to try are G2, Kamui, Zan, and Precision. All have a different feel. Each person will have a preference, but any of these will be very good at worst, and amazing at best.

I'm watching now. Is this quality what I can expect throughout the event? Looks like very low def. Rather disappointing.
Edit: content, production, commentators, everything is excellent.

I own a Digicue Blue and have had one since beta testing. I absolutely love it. However, I could not even imagine having it on my cue during a match. It would be very distracting to me. I leave it in one of the pockets in my case. When I use it, it is specifically to drill my stroke...
I just checked and we are FB friends...just send it there. I'm curious what tourney this is. Even if I can't play I'm still curious.

Magic eraser will ruin the ball. Water is fine. As for soap, depends on the soap. I'd probably just use aramith ball cleaner though.

You, as a player, have the ability to present your concerns to the people that run tournaments near you. Explain to them the benefit of Fargo. Surely there are tournaments near you. Possibly some of those are run by people with 3 digit IQ's, who can understand the benefit of Fargo. Point is...
Which raises some skepticism about the use of Fargo in league play. There are handicaps involved, and the league systems are NOT Fargo systems. In my opinion more research is needed to determine the best way to incorporate points per ball systems effectively into the Fargo system. The reality...
Lol. I'm not selling. Although Sky, Justin, SVB, and most top pro bar table players all break 8 and 10 ball on bar boxes from the end rail. Its the standard break for pros. Somehow they make it work in spite of your opinion. Still, the less people that learn a particular viable break on a...
There are some good arguments fro breaking from the end rail on a bar table when playing 8 ball or 10 ball. Where the cueball is in the air makes a big difference on how the balls react. It seems very easy to pop the rack nicely, not really very hard, and make the 2nd ball in the side. On a...
I think guessing at the possibility of other life forms in the universe is very analogous to guessing about the existence of God. There is no actual "proof" for either thusfar available to us, but many compelling reasons to believe in either. The reasons mostly seem to revolve around the...
My solution is simpler. I simply don't care. I think at the amateur level, no one plays good enough to make pattern racking an issue. I think maybe once you get above 700 fargo or so, it starts to become important. Though still there are many players above that level who don't have a ton of...
Yeah I'm definitely saying that a Revo can introduce more power to the cue ball at a given stroke speed than any maple cue I've tried. I'm *not* saying that it produces a greater spin to speed ratio. If that is achievable at all, I'd think it would lie more with the tip. It *seems* like a...
You are completely mistaken. This is very well documented, and basic physics. A material's ability to transfer energy is a very real thing. Hence the entire field of mechanical design and engineering.
Just FYI.

Were the shafts you tested wood, or some other material?
That actually does *not* create the same change. Adding a little weight to the cue means that in order to net the benefit you propose, you must swing the heavier cue the same speed you swung the lighter cue. This requires more force to...
No it is not. It is an objection to the inconsistent application and enforcement of the rule. The point is that saying "soft" is not very descriptive. Some players may be able to only break 10 mph. That is as hard as they can. Yet they are not penalized for "soft breaking". Whatever speed...
