Rank your top 3 favourite cue tips

My favorites at this time are: G2 Soft Kamui Black Soft Precision Soft I would imagine that the Zan Premier Soft would be on the list. I've only had one on once, and it was excellent. Possibly the very best overall tip I've ever tried. Definitely the best layered tip for keeping its shape...

My theory is aiming means nothing...

Bob Jewitt is right. Stun will produce the maximum amount of contact induced throw. Draw or follow will reduce this throw some. Throw will alter the path of the object ball. If the path you want leads into a pocket, you will need to adjust your contact point accordingly. KMRUNOUT Sent...

16 minutes of my life wasted.

It was a convenient ignorance. People didn't know any better then. For better or for worse, understanding will hopefully increase. The biggest complaints about "wired" balls come from the ones who don't understand the rack. If the rack is tight, then the balls are wired for everyone, not...

Interesting perspective. 1) There is only perfect, not "perfect for him". With a template rack, all the balls should be frozen. There are not degrees of frozen. They either are or are not. A. Right, its not a gambling match. If the ref isn't able to effectively rack the balls in a...

Were those the rules in this particular tournament? Not sure how other tournaments do things is relevant here. In this tournament they were using a template rack. That means that all the balls should be totally frozen. The standard is way higher using a template rack. KMRUNOUT

Right. I don't think being a pro has anything to do with it. That's why I didn't say it did. Were the racks he was given perfect, or were there issues? I personally didn't see them. Did you? KMRUNOUT

I find it interesting how many people know better than one of the top in the world. We didn't see any of his racks close up. We don't know what he knows or sees. Seems people like to assume a lot about him and themselves. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Anyone try G2 chalk ??

I have it. I like it. As far as cosmetic type chalks go it's as good as any and better than most. It's quite clean, adheres well, and grips great. For me personally, I don't like the feel of applying those types of chalk. Maybe I never let the chalks "break in" enough, but they always seem...

    RIP Nelson Olivera

Nelson was a great player and a good friend. I played with him almost every week for years. Many, including myself, considered him to have the best cue ball of any player in New England. He won numerous Joss your stops, and in fact was the Joss player of the year just last year! He had some...

Should your Chin be on the Stick, or what's comfortable for you?

I find it works far better to look very straight up if you keep your back very flat. It's a rather athletic pose. Some won't have the flexibility or belly clearance to do this. But if you can keep your back flat, I'd give that a try. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

Should your Chin be on the Stick, or what's comfortable for you?

Well, that really depends on your head position. I see players whose faces are pointing at the floor with just their eyes up, and people whose faces point straight forward. If you can develop the straight forward orientation, then you will be able to see both balls on a much higher percentage...

Should your Chin be on the Stick, or what's comfortable for you?

Wow. I might nominate this thread for best of the year. I just read every comment and each one has been positive, on topic, and helpful. Great job people!!! I used to get my head down lower I think. I've gone to a more square snooker type stance over the last few years. In some ways my...
