I have an Audiocontrol RTA and could figure that out for you. If all you want to figure out is if the crack of balls hitting each other is bass than I will say no. Not even close. I bet there is very little on the table that happens under 1k. If your looking for some good sound dampening try...

If you play on the big table "Play your best 8 ball" is a good read. The 8 ball bible is good to, but it realy has a focus on the big cue ball and small table.

Great idea, I am a first timer as well. I think Sat. afternoon would work best for me, but who the hell am I? Can't wait to go. I'm looking forward to a few well deserved days off, some great pool and meeting some new friends!
