    2016 Arizona 8 ball Championship

2016 Arizona8ball championship Chris & Lyn, A small state or regional championship is a lot different than a national event. I assure you, we have given our course a LOT of thought - and we feel the long term gains far outweigh the short term pains. The FargoRate system will allow (for the...

    Ishmael "Morro" Paez

Morro is one of a kind. I've heard stories for years about his playing around the San Diego area. Eventually he ended up in LA and I watched him play several times. Very entertaining. great attitude. and a SHARP dresser! I met him the first time at one of the Reno Sands events around 1988 or...

You Can't Run With Men if You Can't Take a Verbal Beatdown

Mosconi and politicos Angel, Doubt Obama does much - so ask Trump. Here are my thoughts - he's got the balls to show up. He needs to know about 35-40 million people play pool in the US - and they cross all walks of citizens. If it ever did happen - pool could get an audience of millions of...

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

It becomes a 'slippery slope' when switching players on a chart, or in any way affecting who plays which opponent. IF any player withdraws (before the event starts) - for any reason (accident, illness etc). that spot needs to go to the next name on the waiting list. Otherwise you can get into...

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

Ah yes, another person who thinks they know the situation. This is info from 18 months ago. What is wrong with you guys - don't have enough creative constructive things to occupy your mind. Next time try posting your real name - and obviously, if you want to have a real meaningful discussion...

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

Unfortunate situation. Jay did the right thing - The rules must be enforced on everyone equally - no favoritism. Not sure how this could be allowed to happen. It is wrong on so many levels. (If a player could be ''allowed' to enter late, it has to go to the next name on the waiting list)...

JB vs Lou - Let's Get It On

Jb vs Lou John (and phil), I agree totally - there are a couple of posters that would be 'voted off the island' real fast if I had the hammer. Too many posters post nothing positive. Difference of opinion is healthy. I also think the previous thread should have been left alone. I was suprised...

    JAM's book on Keith

I expect this book to come to fruition - and I expect it will be a very good read. Jam, Please put me down for a signed copy as well. Not sure what the galley version you are talking about, but I would also like to acquire one of that version. Ignore the peanut gallery. Most of them are all...

    Brunswick Anniversary thread

Brunswick anniversary I think tHat 'thing' is a talc holder. Talc used to be made in several cone shapes - some tapered and some not. Players would 'swipe' their hand over the cone. Years ago, talc was in just about all pool rooms. Good luck - this model of table is very cool. Have fun fixing...

    Justin Bergman v Jayson Shaw....Oct 13 & 14

Bergman vs Shaw Bergman is 788 Shaw is 792 Fargo rating Basically a 'pick-em'. Statistically should be 80-78 Shaw. But in a heads up, a few rolls can change the outcome. Should be a good match. Is it winner break or alternate break? Either way, I pick Shaw by a smidge!!!! Mark Griffin
