Having a table at home is better than not having one. Period. Regardless of how much you plan to use or not use it. Before I started back playing again last spring, my table sat unused for probably 10+ years. Now I use it 3-4 times a week again.

I play APA. I've always disliked that rule. The table should be open after the break at all times. If the person breaking drops a low ball on the break, he should still be able to choose high balls if he prefers to. Its happened countless times that my opponents balls are spread open much...

Does that include the ram shot? Two times lighter? Find this hard to believe.

I've never heard any good player say they need to hit the balls harder. I don't understand. :confused: Its usually the exact opposite.

If there were two players from your opponent's team present at start time there is no reason not to put one of them up. BTW, this is APA that I was speaking of. Don't know about other league rules.

Actually the owner of the bar we play at(Which has only one table unfortunately) has to lock the doors at 1am until we finish. Only a couple places we play has more than one table. :angry:

Yeah that's a big part of it. The breaks are usually barely legal as far as enough balls going to a rail which leaves you with a big cluster**** resembling a 14.1 break shot. I agree too about the "being ready to shoot" part of it. Our player is OK with this but the other player last night...
