    I'm sorry

Dennis, you do not owe anyone an apology. Quite the opposite, all of us in th U.S. owe you are thanks for representing our country. You had a great team with great players and personalities. You entered the Cup as a team, if you would have won it, it would have been as a team and when you...

Bending the cue on the break

I learned to break that way years ago during some lessons with Mark Wilson in St. Louis. I was always intrigued with that style of break since seeing Tom Cruise break like that in TCoM. He was taught that break by Mike Sigel. All it is is a continuation of your follow through. If you...

    Cleaning/Brushing tool??

Not to dog the Simonis product or step on the toes of forum members here that sell it, but it is beyond ridiculously overpriced. Do yourself a favor and save $85.00, buy a regular chalkboard erasure (not dry board) and you will get the same results for 5 bucks. If your not happy with the...

Advice on cleaning rail castings on a Gold Crown

I would have powder coated the castings and feet but time and money prevented me. I now own a Diamonized GC ll by RKC. It plays as good as it possibly can, which is OUTSTANDING :D. The only thing left for me to do is to try and restore the look of the castings and feet as best I can as the...

Replace the felt on a new table?

I Completely agree. The only way I wouldn't take the cloth upgrade now that they owe you is if the $300 they are offering you is a refund, not a credit, and if the money would really help you out around the holidays. If money isn't tight, get the cloth you originally ordered now. You may also...

Need help with game room, 7 or 8ft table...

I agree. I think you should jump on that GC ll for $600. As long as it's in decent shape that's a great deal. I would bet if you went to look at it and offered him $500 on the spot they would take it. jmho...

What if a ball from another table lands on your table and disturbs the balls?

What if my aunt had balls... She'd be my uncle. Which of our questions is dumber...? hmmmmm.......

Need help with game room, 7 or 8ft table...

You can always just measure and tape the dimensions on the floor. RKC recently set-up my table and I have exactly 5' from the outer dimensions of the table to the wall. I can hit a frozen ball straight with a 58" cue without having to shorten my stroke.

Need help with game room, 7 or 8ft table...

Honestly, if you prefer playing on a 9' I would definitely go with one. You are going to have an obstruction on one side no matter what so why not go with the 9' and use a shorter shorty? You have no problems that I can see with the length. Also, are you measuring 64" from the inner rail...

Are the best pool players also the most intelligent?

Pool and Intelligence The first distinction that needs to be made is between being educated and being intelligent, they are mutually exclusive. Secondly, intelligence is a very broad term. There are many different types of intelligence. Somebody can be a mathmatical genius but may find it...

RKC Diamondizing my table as I type!

Some Thanks I just wanted to give a shout out to fellow AZ'ers Josh and Don of Club Billiards out of Dayton Ohio who drove up to Chicago for one day to help Glen break down and move my GC ll. When Josh finishes his apprenticeship with RKC he will be one of, if not the premiere table mechanic...

No worries about the hijacking, I found the posts informative and entertaining :grin-square:. Sorry I haven't updated my own thread, I was waiting until I was able to post pictures but have been too busy for pics lately. Heres a quick update: RKC set-up and Cobratized my table last week...

New Product: i4pool's SLUG DOCTOR TIGHT RACK SYSTEM

Thanks for answering my questions. I am now even more interested with both your replies and Jay's use and approval of your product. I was going to have Santa get me a Delta 13 (the cheap one) rack for Christmas, now I need to think about this .

New Product: i4pool's SLUG DOCTOR TIGHT RACK SYSTEM

I basically have two questions; 1. If the grooves are deep enough to keep the balls in place, would they not be deep enough to alter the roll of the balls, especially in the last two inches of a balls roll as it slows down? 2. Why not have only one rack for 8 ball that can then be used for all...

Wanted: copy of Rags to Rifleman

Glad to hear all the positive comments about Rags to Rifleman. I'm a big Buddy Hall fan (how can you not be?) but didn't want to spend the $$ if it was going to be a disappointment. I found and purchased one on line today. More than I wanted to spend but the positive reviews gave me the push I...
