Need help with game room, 7 or 8ft table...

From a practical and if possible get a 7 ft Diamond.

Actually locally I am having a harder time finding 7' tables then I am 8' tables. This area seems to have been a large market for home 8'ers.

I would LOVE a Diamond, but the wife veto'd the price ($3k). I can get a Pro 8 Gold Crown locally for less than $800 and can get a Centurion for less than $500.

I think I may have just had my decision made for me... The Gold Crown I found out is a GC II and an actual 8' instead of a Pro 8 and I can get it for $600.

Now I just need to get the wife to sign off on the purchase this evening

I agree. I think you should jump on that GC ll for $600. As long as it's in decent shape that's a great deal. I would bet if you went to look at it and offered him $500 on the spot they would take it. :thumbup:

It's in great shape, currently in use at Jimmy's Pro Billiards in Minneapolis. They were asking $800 for the table, but since I know the co-owner (he also is the LO for APA in Minneapolis) he's selling it to me for $600. Right now just waiting to hear from the table mechanic on cost for delivery, setup and putting new 860 on the table as well as time frame. Probably be dropping off the money tonight or tomorrow for it.

Only downside is it has gully returns and my wife loves drop pockets... I can always replace that tho and sell the gully system to recoup the cost of the drop pockets.

I think they are mistaken. No home eight crowns. Only pro.

If I couldn't have my 9 ft table I'd have a 7 ft. as they are used for the majority of tournaments and leagues and you can also use the extra room.
