    struggling with 8-ball

SVB thinks about the table, except he can do it way faster than us. I've noticed pros take much longer to start shooting right after the break than I do and most league players as well. Even though they've taken longer to start, imo, they've thought the run out through far more than the average...

    Greatest drill site ever

I create my own drills that are tailored to my game weaknesses. Some drills I've already heard of, like follow the CB into pocket on straight in shot. Many times what I've created has been done before or something similar. If I'm by myself, I'll play a few games of 8 ball, then I'll do a...

    struggling with 8-ball

I think I saw it written somewhere here on AZB...9 ball is saying I can out shoot you, 8 ball is saying I can out think you. I think that holds for most league players. I like to watch the US Bar Table Championship on you tube. I see the table and try to see the out after the break and then...

    New Diamond Pro-Am Review

That table sounds really suspect to me. I wouldn't accept a new table w cosmetic imperfections, especially a Diamond. You put New in quotes, is this table new to you or brand new, never played? I wouldnt think the slate should have an opportunity to bow or sag.

So does this mean my piano w ivory keys can't be sold? Would there be enough ivory on it that would be useful for cue making?

I think you're giving drunks too much credit.

Should the Director(s) Have Stopped the 2018 Mosconi Cup?

I agree with the down on the shot quietness, but at all other times, let em go wild. Vegas won't be nearly as loud. The American fans just don't act as boisterous and there won't be as many Europeans in the crowd.

Should the Director(s) Have Stopped the 2018 Mosconi Cup?

Mosconi Cup is the best thing going in professional pool. Watching any other match is like watching paint dry , or worse, golf.

    15 hours of playing/waiting...

My thoughts exactly. The tourneys I do play in only go about 5-6 hours and I have a hard time waiting around in those. Can't imagine all day and night. I couldn't do it, I'd walk and forfeit by 5pm.

intermediate players: who many times can you run 6 balls in rotation ?

Did that drill quite a bit last year. Didn't do a handicap, went for highest run. It is helpful in that it gets the player familiar with running many balls. But I feel it's a lot of simple stop shots. I posted a thread on it and ask if anyone can run endlessly, there were a couple here who said...

intermediate players: who many times can you run 6 balls in rotation ?

That is great advice Bob gave. When I do similar run out drills, if I happen to throw the eight out, the 8 automatically is the last ball, regardless of other balls are a higher number, because I'm an 8 ball player. If you struggle w 6 then go to 5, if you can make five, go back to six...

    Penance - Pool Short Film

Nice job. Predictable from the beginning she would win whatever match that came up. Could have done a little more research on the subject to make the characters more believable and genuine to pool. The jacket as mentioned would come off, she shouldn't have sharked him walking up on the table...

joined the moose lodge today to play pool

I go to a VFW hall that is v similar. So glad I don't feel playing on a 7 footer is beneath me. Would have missed a lot of pool and good times.
