like who? bautista? alex is 47 years and morra is a slow fargo 790. i just don't see breaking the traditional format for minimal benefit being a good path forward.
but i think he did in the 90's/00's and still played very good. maybe it's more pronounced now? svb also has this when they zoom in on his back hand, and gerson martinez too. probably doesn't affect point of contact
i'm a big fan, and while he has displayed some occasional form the last year, toastie is pushing 50.. twitches more than he used to, gets up on the follow through etc. team USA should build for the future and pick a youngster next year
i would think because of the bar leagues USA would probably have more people playing regularly? measuring dedication and ambition is obviously more difficult, but i would also think that the ones that play regularly in europe to a higher degree are dedicated players. meaning striving to do...
that's true, he is the same as kazakis on the euro side in that regard. the format (and to a degree shot clock events in general) favors fast, clutch players over grinders
the "you" in his post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, it was a general statement about bore chalkers.
there's definitely a fatigue in the subject tip/chalk and most posters in this thread show more patience than i could ever muster
team europe has two rookies, a filler that's been sub-par the latter part of this year and a jayson with some mental scars from the asia trip. problem is team USA players (minus shane) hasn't shown anything lately to suggest they can take advantage of this
