<><><> My 5th for Dean almost finished, Enjoy! <><><>

Dean I was in the shop yesterday working on some of my cues and believe me the cue looks even better in person. The pictures don't show how well the purple veneer pops with the light blue. You are gonna be very happy I promise you

    Overrated ?

I have to agree with Manwon. Nothing good can come from a post like this. Does GM produce a lemon every now and then? Posche? IBM? Apple? Do you think every Fender guitar was perfect? Stradivarius violin? Humans are inherently flawed and make mistakes. Pointing out that someone's efforts are...

    WTB 30in 314 or 314-2 3/8x10

Contact any local cuemaker or repair person that is an authorized Predator dealer they should either have or be able to get you a blank which are 30's and make a shaft for you that matches your cue. Just a suggestion.

    Why leave off a ring?

That was my point. If you want the full slice look or even if you dont want a ring at the A joint you can still build a strong cue by hiding the phenolic ring under the wrap. The pic posted above is of a forearm with a solid wring on a handle waiting for a wrap over it

    Why leave off a ring?

I personally love the look of points on full splice cues (how they come together just above the wrap) but as yet have not perfected building techniques of a fullsplice. I do however not like the look of a ring at the A joint or position C as you are refering to it. As Arnot has alluded to...

    Tell me where to go

If you want to talk to lower handicap players or share small victories there is nothing wrong with posting a thread exactly like that. As for this just being a forum for higher skill players and pros that's entirely not true. My take is there is a healthy cross section of all abilities just like...

WTB Somewhat Soon - R1 - R6, or other early 90's Schon (just one cue, though!!!)

I have a newer older R6 if that makes sense as in later produced Sharp points but nickel ring at the joints. Dead straight, perfect shape and hits a ton.

<><><> Cue # 4 getting close, snakewood, recuts, curly, and 8 veneers <><><>

Dean not to worry. I also toil away in this shop and I know you'll love the cue once xpat gets putting the finishing touches on. Your cue isnt my style J as you already know but its still a great looking cue

    Help cue guys.

My humble opinion would be find someone with an ivory jointed cue and ask to try hitting it some. I would also try something with a phenolic joint. You say you have a stainless jointed cue and all three play very different. Hit in a cue is very personal and the joint certainly affects this...

    4 almost ready

Thanks. The coco hoppe is my favorite too obviously as it's for me. It was easy to make. Pick your nicest wood, match it to veneers you like best, throw on an ivory hope ring and hope no one makes you an offer you can't refuse. Lol. Have a couple new ones in the works too. Keep an eye out for an...

    Need some advice

There is a reason there are hundreds of guys making cues (and honestly very few to make a living out of it) there are just so many different tastes in the look and hit of a cue. I do agree however that a cue needs to feel good to you and if it doesn't try something else however before I get rid...

    Let's have some fun guess*********

Leon my guess would be yourself. Like many cuemakers I'm sure you don't have any time to build yourself one and any cue you start making ends up in the hands of someone who wouldn't take no for an answer
