    Lucasi (Zero flex point)

I was really surprised at how much I liked the hit of my Lucasi Hybrid. The cue is quality through & through and the pricing is pretty damn impressive. I've read so much about the OB Cues I just had to order one. I'm guessing via it's construction I'm going to like the hit a lot. Of all...

    Keeping table clean

Scotch Brite Lint Roller I know a lot of people are going to flame me for this, but I've been using this for years and it works wonderfully. I have never, ever found any sticky residue on the cloth or anywhere else on the table. I hit the visible spots after every time I use my table and the...

Looking for professional's that do exhibitions!

Mike Sigel does exhibitions as well as lessons, both group & private. He's a real reasonable guy and an awful lot of fun to hang with. He's also a natural Masters of ceremonies type who knows how to work a crowd. PM me if you want his email address. -Z-

Fire at Salt City Billiards, Syracuse, NY

I just checked commercial RE in Syracuse, there's a ton of places in the 3K to 6K sq foot range for reasonable lease terms or sale. One you wouldn't even have to change the name, the other used to be a strip club. Sounds like there's an unmet need in Syracuse & therefore an opportunity for...

Why does pool attract so many broken, crazy, Degenerate, mental type people.

It has been said over and over again that Pool is the great equalizer. I'd agree. Therefore the game is going to attract people from all walks of life. Most of the nick names I recall from my Pool world show folks from all walks of life, mostly by their job or the place from where they hail...

    Went for the OB-174

So...it's Spring time. And in Connecticut that's a perfectly acceptable reason to buy a new cue stick. I've been flirting with the idea of buying an OB cue for some time. The owner feedback & overall reputation is amazing. That's one thing if you've got a fat kat marketing budget of some...

What do you do when in a slump?

For me, I acknowledge it. My slumps have always been about mechanics so I try to recheck the basics and the fundamentals. If that doesn't work over a short period of time, I ask a trusted pool buddy to check out my game from afar. That's never failed to work. Hope this is helpful. -Z-

    Contemplating an OB-174 purchase

Anyone out there have any thoughts or feedback on the OB cues? I like the OB-123 and the OB-174. From everything I've read OB cues are something very special and for their innovation and quality, extremely reasonably priced.

Show Us your Prize Pool Poster or Pool Photo

Mike signed and gave this to me when I flew down to Orlando last year for a private 7 hour lesson with him. It not only was a check off on my bucket list, it extremely helpful to my game and one hell of a lot of fun. -Z- http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=428229

    Pool Room in Warehouse Space!

Robin, your observation and point(s) are well taken. Over the years there were several times when I've seriously looked into opening a room in my general region. Forget the zoning challenges for a moment (strip clubs are easier to open than pool halls in many areas). With commercial...

    Pool Room in Warehouse Space!

It seems to me many Pool rooms fail because of 1 of 2 reasons. the owner is fulfilling his personal dream of owning his own "ultimate man-cave" and not really looking at it as a business. the owner is under the unfortunate delusion that catering (only) to "the serious players" is the way...

    How / where to start?

Willy, my intention was not to discourage you, but rather to prepare you and help strengthen your resolve. I have the same dream and have had it since I first started shooting pool (late 80's). I haven't given up on my dream, It's still alive, active and well. Keep on keepin' om my...
