Question about Instroke Premiere 2x4 Vinyl Case

I've had MANY cases over the years (McDermott Felini case, McDermott hard clam shell, It's George, and an Instroke Cowboy). The Instroke was the best, until I got a JB Mason 3x6. No problems with the order (in fact, John didn't like one of the pockets and made his guys start over, only cost...

U.S. Open 9-Ball Opinion from Pat Fleming

Are you still going to do the International U.S. Open? Would really miss the East Coast penultimate tournament opportunity...I still think you could pull it off...:)

    Balabushka?... uhhh, Judges?

Neve saw or hear of a Balabushka that had the Willei Hoppe makring on it...he used those blanks early on, but they didn't have the marking by the time he'd turned it...I'd guess this is a conversion done by someone contemporary, but not George...but I'll admit I'm not an expert. probably a nice...

    Rempe & Grady Age Comment

Irving Crane won a major tournament in his late 60s or even north of 70. He was competitive up to the end. As long as your eyes (even correctible) and your nerves (steady hands) hold up, you should be able to play as good as you ever did and maybe even continue to grow. Efren is still...

    Cool Johnston City clip....................

This is better...another contribution from Max on the Knoxville Bear. Over 2 hours long, one of the best interviews with road stories from the REAL legends, going back to the 30s and Greenleaf, Mosconi, et al. I was just surfing around, ready to go to bed and couldn't shut it off. The best...

    ...

I had a custom 3x6 Mason style case made, took about 6 weeks...awesome communication with Karen, sent me update photos throughout the build. Would have been sooner, but John didn't like one of the pockets and had them start it all over. Best case I've ever owned, it's awesome!

    Who is this Russian player

He just smoked everybody at the Virginia State 10 Ball championship, beat a lot of STRONG players, beat Warren Kiamco twice. That was after flying over from his money match with Oscar the day before. Real nice guy, too.

Pat diveney full splice w/ 2 lake salvage shafts

About 2 years ago, I had a catastrophic failure with my player at the time, and a gentleman I was playing against in the tournament offered to let me play with his spare cue, a Diveney almost exactly like this one, same specs, Lakewood shaft...I played two more matches with it. I was so...

Jerry Rauenzahn Wrapless Brazilian Rosewood Fullsplice with Titlist Veneers

OBTW, you're stealing this cue if you buy it at this price.

Jerry Rauenzahn Wrapless Brazilian Rosewood Fullsplice with Titlist Veneers

I had him make me one with pre-war Brunswick colored veneers...was told the Braz was 100 years old. Beautiful tone/vibration and feel. Now that he's retired/retiring, his cues will be hard to find...I know mine's never for sale. :)

What is the best way to buy a new Diamond table?

Same here...and that was last year. Took a while, especially as I was holding out for the return of Dymondwood, but settled for rosewood-stained oak and love it. Got it for the factory direct price, delivered and installed. Did it over the phone and via email updates.

Who's your favorite pro to watch that helps your game?

Let me say it before 100 do...Efren. I don't watch to mimick mechanics (that way lies madness), but to see his creativity and shot selection. You can learn more watching him for an hour than watching any one else for three days...:)

Draw for show, follow for the dough?

Like many folks, when I started to play and learned how to draw a cue ball, I fell in love with it and tended to use it almost exclusively, "muscling" the CB around. I used follow only when I absolutely had to. Sometime in the early '90s I played a road player in a tournament in Austin...

Oscar Dominguez in UK tabloids, not good.

Ok, I'll admit it. I laughed when I heard it. Clutch the pearls, someone drops an f-bomb or makes an irreverent comment while gently breaking his partner's horn in the middle of a maelstrom of slurs, insults and taunts from the drunk crowd, specifically placed there for dramatic effect. Barry...

    This happened tonight.

Most calucutta's I've been in also had the field for sale, but many have the field play for the house...our recent Maryland State 10 Ball Championship had the field play for the house, which wasn't a problem since no one in the field got past the third round...;) Earl Strickland won it, but was...

    This happened tonight.

Most times in a Calcutta, players who get no bids (not even on themselves) are playing for the house...so the house gets their cut if they place in the Calcutta. Why not do it the same for the side bets? If a player not participating in the side bet wins first or second, the kick his share to...
