    Willie Blade "Comet #2" Review...

As many of you know, I was asked to review a Willie Blade cue as the winner of a contest. I received the cue a little over a week ago, and put it to the test, playing about 10 hours with it. Bottom line, this is a very finely made cue, with beautifully executed overlapping butterfly splices...

    New Diamond table delivered today...

I feel your pain, I played phone tag for 6 months trying to get my ProAm in Dymondwood; finally settled on Cherry stained Oak. Believe me, the wait is worth it, I've played minimum 3 hours a day (with a couple of 12 hour sessions mixed in) on it since it was finally assembled in my garage three...

I received the cue a few days ago and have about 6 hours with it...will do an in depth review in a couple of days, with pictures (the butterfly splices have some interesting interlocking diamond patterns and his wood selections are gorgeous). Bottom line, it's a quality product, stiff, but...

    Best glue for elephant ear?

I've got a small section of my elephant ear wrap opening/loose right along the seam... What's the best glue adhesive you'd recommend? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk

What do I clean my Cue with

You know, I somehow manage to get a strong accumulation of chalk at the base of my middle finger on my right (stroking) hand, yet I only chalk with my left hand. I've never been able to catch myself with chalk in my right hand, ever; it's a mystery to me...

Thanks for your input. I stand corrected. :)

The most impressive pool playing that you have ever witnessed?

Agree...that was the best I've ever seen. Wish I'd been there (I've played many times in Athens, but never that room). Dead silence for almost 3 hours of watching their man get roasted. Then a 5 minute ovation at the end as they came to grips with having witnessed the strongest pool most...

What do I clean my Cue with

Shafts: denatured alcohol on a paper towel...maybe once a month or so. Daily, use a dry microfiber towel after each session or as needed during play. The oils from your hands is actually good for the wood, a nice patina darkens it, not a bad thing functionally. I NEVER allow my mechanic to...

Cyclop balls Not good for TV!!!

I believe that the "TV" color balls thing is a mistaken reference to what were originally designed for color blind players...someone looked at these balls and not knowing any better, assumed the color differences were for ability to better discern the differences on TV, which is demonstrably...

    Ekonomopoulos live now

My favorite Greek city, I lived in Panorama for over a year when I was a student at the Greek Army War College. I used to shoot pool from time to time in a nice little room not too far from the American School. ;) I really miss the food, Macedonian Gyros are the best!

    Barksdale AFB rec center players

Did any of you guys come down to Leesville and shoot any? That was my haunt '87-'91...The only time I ever got up to Alexandria for pool was once at some Country Western dive (don't remember the name, but it was pretty big) playing $5-$10 8 ball on a bar box. Some kid air-barreled me after...

    Why 8 Ball ?

Great point...there's a video of a match between Bustamante and Reyes where you see them softly nudging clusters open with great control and planning, not just busting them apart; kind of like a flower blooming. They have a plan for where each ball in the cluster is ultimately going to be...

Did Ortmann foul? Bustamante says Yes!

I think yes, but since Busty didn't ask for a ref to watch the hit, the call goes to the shooter. The 6 ball came out of the collision too straight to have been hit by the CB after the OB; if the OB was hit first the 6 ball would have gone more toward the corner pocket, IMHO...but it's hard to...

Why Do Promoters & Players Dislike 15 ball rotation?

It's an awesome game, and tests a player in more areas than just about any game. I think observers have trouble following the score and are just too unfamiliar with it; American Rotation was a nice offering that was easier to keep track of for the railbirds, and I think something like that will...

    How long & how often?

Got my Diamond 9' ProAm two months ago...have played every day, minimum 3 hours, usually more like 5...on weekends I shoot 12 hours Friday and Saturday each, then back to 3-5 hours (it's a work night). To say I'm addicted is an understatement. When I was in my 20s and playing hard, I...
