Will a 5/16 hole work in the piece? I might have that with a very small hole in the piece... Let me know if you can use this. Jim

McDermott cues are all over the map at the joint in size. They build shafts to fit each butt of the cue. Typically they are close, but will not fit perfectly. I would have them send it back to McDermott, and they will make you another shaft to match it perfect :)

ACCELERATOR actually sets off the super glue when applied. Sorry I used activator...I call this item both names.

A think a thin coat of Wax definately is a great lubricant. Also once the die is ran across the tenon, the wax is gone. I have done this method for 10 years, and have never had any failures using this method. Typically the tenons that twist off, or are broken, are Cuetec cues (Or Similar)...

They did have lots of problems with the first run of Tenon Dies, but they might have it corrected now. It did not matter what size the tenon would be, they would not work :)
