I have a couple Meucci cf Pros, a Defy and a shaft I bought here from Springfield Cues. They are all perfectly round with no visible construction issues. The Defy has a slick coating that I don't care for. All the others are just CF and hit wonderfully.

Her kids are now a prince and princess. The other royals are aghast.

I wanted the same balance point when I ordered the Cf shaft for my New Sheriff cue so I specified the weight of the CF shaft when I had it made. The resulting cue retains the balance properties of the maple shaft.

Tradition? I know of one Earl the Pearl broken cue and one Mike the Mouth broken cue. Hardly a "tradition".

Just like cf fishing rods, they are incredibly strong as long as they are in perfect condition. Any blemish, scratch or bruise will cause a weak spot and that is where the shaft will fail. If someone wanted to break one, a sharp blow across the table corner at the tip end will break the shaft...

I own a Defy and a Meucci carbon pro. I understand exactly what you are talking about. The Defy is like a dead blow hammer, solid but with little "feel". I prefer the Meucci but more for the slick feel of the "regular" cf shaft over the glossy finish on the Defy.

Then maybe you should listen to someone who owns one and uses it exclusively for the pool table. They work great.

It certainly will. You can use one of the cleaning solutions that come with it or Woolite or whatever you choose to cut the grease.

What makes you think you don't need them with cf shafts? Try shooting with and without no matter the shaft material. The glove is a smoother, more consistent feel.
