Does anyone in here remember Leo Newberry??

I met Leo in the late seventies in Port Angeles Washington. Easy guy to remember because he was a very likable person. Sorry to hear that's he's not with us anymore. Must have been pretty young when he left us. RIP Leo

Crazy planned shot with unplanned resuts

I think it was a great shot if you're playing APA nine ball where you play by points. Making the nine you would have only gotten two points. Now you're in position to run the table and get more points. Good thinking in avoiding making the nine ball.

Finnegan is a crook and a scumbag.

So I take it that all the balls above the ten balls are taken off the table after the break if a money ball is made?

What english is best for the 8-ball second ball break?

Not having read all of the previous posts I will give my take on the second ball break. While it's true that you will get a lot of movement on the eight with this break. A big plus when you're playing that the eight counts as a win on the break. But there is another big benefit with this break...

Hi, I'm Smiley and will be in the new reality TV Show "The Hustlers" on TruTV May 4th

I played a partners match right next to you and your partner at the BCA. I thought you were a knockout the way you were dressed. Nothing revealing, or offensive, just very nice. When you started this thread I kind of thought it was you, but wasn't sure.

Greenfields/Denver 6 Ball Rotation Ring Game

Actually the two ring game tournaments ran in the Los Angeles were a hugh success and more are planed. No one has a decisive advantage in a ring game and that's the reason there were so many entries. The tournament basically runs it's self shortly after it starts and the players quickly get...

New Pool Hall Idea --- Barbershop/Billliards

I did a lot of that in my time. I had a shop with a table in the back. Whenever a customer came in that wasn't a regular I would have the shine boy go in the back and hit some balls to make some noise. If the customer said something then I knew he was there for the pool action. It always...

    Attn; Jeff Sparks !

I can see with it could be a case of mistaken identity. I once beat a guy out of several hundred on one of my travels. Afterward we sat and had a couple beers and talked a bit. He told me a story of being in Los Angeles playing action games. One of the players in his story was about badly...

    One pocket question ???

Vicky, it's one of those rules that you have to decide before playing. I prefer to play that the whole ball needs to be past the line. Playing the base of the ball is difficult to call sometimes. The whole ball is easy to see. Also it's easy to see where the cue ball is placed after a foul.

APA regional decision, What's the call?

I'm not one to get involved in decision making unless asked to do so. I learned this lesson many years ago. And when I'm asked to do so then I first confirm with both parties if they both agree for me to speak. In this case I knew both of the players and knew that that there might be some bad...

APA regional decision, What's the call?

Not too long ago I was watching an APA match between a couple of low level players. Winner of the match goes to Vegas for the National singles in their level group. It was a match with two women and one is a skill level three and the other is a skill level two. The three has to win three games...
