A nine-foot Diamond or GC, my Pechauer, box of chalk, talc, spare tips, ferrules and glue, and for a partner I would definitely prefer Jasmin since she mentioned 14.1 as a "secret love".
I'll toss in my vote for Pechauer...
...as I've had it for several years and am very satisfied with it. It is weighty (I shoot better with the heavier weights) and yet incredibly well-balanced.
-Measly
The best sounds to me are the called balls falling into the pockets :D
If there's any music at all IMO it is strictly a personal preference, I like either silence, quiet jazz or so-called "easy listening" music.
I very highly recommend Golden Fleece Billiards in Kenmore, Washington (about five miles NE of Seattle). Nine-foot Diamonds that play very true and tight.
Sure wish there were a few more pool halls between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.!
Back in 2000 I injured my back along with my psychotic nerve, bought one of the multi-channel STIM/TENS units ($400 then) and no doubt it helped. I still use the thing on occasion when my back is really sore.
Shooting pool doesn't seem to bother my back as much as some activities, though.
What amazed me is the fact that Gary had no trouble at all going full steam ahead after Hillbilly took (IMO) an inordinate amount of time strategizing. I think he came back from an 8-4 deficit or something like that.
They *DO* need to fix that table roll, though.
Some years back the Seattle Mariners (IIRC) had the slogan "Refuse to Lose"; a former co-worker who played out of Machias, Washington was on a team called "Refuse to Win". Always got a kick out of that one.
There was a pinball machine by that name (Gottlieb) many years ago and that particular one was a blast! Forgot all about it until I saw this title :D
Back on da subject- what's "Target Pool"?
It looks to me like something between magenta and lavender but I'm somewhat color-blind anyway :D
Yeah, having my cue develop a color similar to this would aggravate the bleep-double-blank-censored out of me!!!!!
T5HO or T8HO...
...lamps I believe are the brightest fluorescent ones you can get. The lumen difference is miniscule I think between them (about two lumens/watt or so). Note that the ballasts have to be rated for such bulbs.
There may be others out there...
In my opinion even if it was a "friendly" game the person tossing his cue on the table owes the other guy $100.00- I see it as no less than a concession.
