"Double Dip" Am I the only one that thinks that phrase is just a little lame?

Double dunk? Two winner/two loser? Twofold win/twofold loss? Dual dunk? Two beat? Two fold? To win the tourny, Earl has to 'two-fold' Efren? Did Soquet win? No he was two-folded by SVB.. Two fold could be your replacement.....

    Wanted - Sparring Partner, DFW

I'd offer as well, but I live on the other side of FW from you. Granted I play league out of the North Dallas area, but it's a bit of a drive just for sparring. If you find yourself in Fort Worth and want someone to shoot against.. give me a shout. Rusty's Billiards has some nice tables.....

    Pool Notebooks

I have one that I write down the 5 things I want to do (Example: Smooth back stroke, Split the pocket, etc), and when I'm done, I write 5 things I want to improve on. (Example: Stay relaxed on critical shots. See the whole shot in my head before I get down in my stance ect..) Everything must...

    Long Draw Shots

Any chance that the 'harder' you're trying to hit it, the more you grip your cue? I've seen a lot of people try to power draw, but they tense up their grip hands and that robs the cue of power and speed. Something to look at. Try to keep the grip hand totally relaxed, even on power shots...

    Classification

A-C players usually refers to league status. C players are the "typical" handicap league players. They're in a handicap league so, while they may not win that many games, their team may win due to the handicapping system. Not likely to run a rack, but do on occasion. B players are usually...

For BCA players -new BCAPL player category & womens team changes

I guess I am assuming each would only play the other team once. You know.. like every other league except for 3 man leagues which play each person twice. Of course this isn't stated anywhere I could find it, so it's just an assumption. 4 women X 4 women = 16. How do you get more than 16...

For BCA players -new BCAPL player category & womens team changes

"Women’s Team Goes to 4 Players: Women’s Open Teams and Women’s Master Teams will be 4 person teams for the 2010 BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships. There are many leagues that do not have many women in the league. By changing the women’s teams to 4 players it will make it easier to form...

    9 ball ghost question.

It's usually 9 ball, but can be 10 ball or even 8 ball. I don't think I'd want to play the ghost one pocket :D, but hey... that's just me. Basically what the ghost is, is an opponent that NEVER misses. He can kick in the next shot and run out on you. So if you miss, you loose.

Not only is it a skill test, people gamble on it.... Race to 7 for 100, playing the ghost.. etc.

    For US Other People...not all u "A" Players...LONG Winded

You bring up some very good points. The term 'Slow down' may be better stated, 'take time to answer these points..' I've seen lots of players (Heather Lloyd for example) that play relatively fast, but take the time to measure angles, look at their next position etc, but doing it all pretty...

Do you look at the object ball?

Just before your final stroke, when the tip of your cue is at the cue ball (this is where your eyes should be, BEFORE you start your back stroke.) Eyes come up and focus on your aim point at/on/near the OB. (What ever you use to aim. A spot on the ball. The ghost ball. Etc.) Smooth back...
