    Piling Rocks

DCP, Tilt your head to the right and using the heel of your right hand gently tap your right temple. This should be enough to move all your rocks to one side in a neat pile. CAUTION - this may cause you to walk in circles. Andy

    Which do you prefer?

Singles. I've been in too many doubles matches where one of the players wanders away to the jukebox or to talk to a friend, get a drink etc. I hate having to send out a search party just to continue the game. However Scotch Doubles might help fix that problem. Andy

    Lessons???

Thanks to everyone for their replys. I do think that Mr. Jewett hit the nail on the head and has definately given me some food for thought. If anyone asks if I think they should get lessons I will direct them to his reply. Thanks again, Andy

    Lessons???

BlackJack, I am always open to learning something new and do have a love for this game. However the limited time I have to practice and reinforce anything I would learn makes me wonder how much I would really benefit from lessons. Thanks, Andy

    Lessons???

Would it be worthwhile for me to take lessons? Here is why I ask such a silly question. I have been playing pool for about 36 years (old dog, new tricks). I -- Am primaraly a bar room player. Do not own a table to practice on. Play 1 or 2 nights a week. Get to the pool hall about once a week...

Put a good stroke on the cue ball and hit it with a straight draw then low outside and work your way around the clock. Watch where the cue...

"Deska Drills" - center ball (vertical axis) is your friend

I am just an 8-Ball bar banger however when I do get to a pool room to work on my game the wagon wheel is one of the first drills I do. I also work on a variation of it where I remove the 2 through 6 balls and try to hit the 7,8,and 9 with just follow. This helps me work on speed and gives me...

    Hate these kind of people...

This is my first post and I just had to say I agree with this advice 100%. The best way to handle people like this is with a little mental Kung Fu and use their own actions against them. When someone is trying this with me it makes me concentrate harder just to show them how the game should be...
