First set was 11-6, race to five. I think DO won 5-3. Second set was 12-6, race to five. DO won 5-2. I think Ilir should have asked for 11-5 second set. Going to 11 or 12 makes almost no difference to world class players.

Yep, Frost is from Iowa. Maybe even Des Moines, but I'm not sure about that. I know he played there a lot. I see John Schmidt's name on the list. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa (where I am originally from), but his family moved out of the state while he was very young.

His name is actually spelled "Kevin Barkes" and there is a brief obituary and photo on legacy.com.

Mike Davis was in Springfield Fast Eddie's the other day and said he was planning to be there. Watch out for Mike...since "retiring" he's snapped off two Action Pool Tour stops and the Ginky Memorial!

I watched John run 170 balls practicing at Fast Eddie's in Springfield, VA last week. When he finally missed, he said, "Here, you take over." Yeah, right..... He did give me a few pointers and we talked about pool for a while. Very friendly guy, willing to share his knowledge. I hope he does...
