Great to see Schmidty in the line up. I kinda thought he gave pool up for the most part.

Yeah, also what's Mike Davis doing in the line up? According to a previous thread, Mike retired from pool to seek a 'regular' job. Whatever.

Talked to him yesterday, he won the local Action Pool Tour event, beating Brandon Shuff
(Brandon came from the B side and beat him in the first set but wasn't able to double dip).
He says he has a new job and is just waiting on some administrative stuff to go through.

While waiting for the hot seat match to finish he was practicing straight pool the whole time.
Everyone was teasing him about how he shoots pretty good for a retiree.

Obviously he hasn't given up entering tournaments and I think he's gonna enjoy himself at this 14.1 event.
He was in good form and I hope he shoots well.

I watched John run 170 balls practicing at Fast Eddie's in Springfield, VA last week. When he finally missed, he said, "Here, you take over." Yeah, right.....

He did give me a few pointers and we talked about pool for a while. Very friendly guy, willing to share his knowledge. I hope he does well in the tourney.
