i would play position on the 5. make the 5 and hit the 8 with follow and a little bit of left hand english pretty full on the right side. the 8 goes to the rail and out and i will have a shot on the 6 in the pocket where it lies

@ marvel: i have a question: what means for you that a player is better than an other, or especially souquet is better than ortmann? is it tournament results or skills or subjective opinion or.....? i would really like to discuss this topic here more, because i know a little bit about oliver...

@marvel: souquet has won more than oliver - do you have a good argument or a evidence for this?

for me and i think for a lot of other germans ortman is ahead of souquet, for me he is far far ahead. for pool in europe he is already an "oldie" because he has played against all of the top european players of former generations and especially in 14.1 he is the best european player in the last...

yes, the cue market is saturated here in germany and there only a few collectors, much much less than in the usa... btw. fatboy, who is the guy you talk with. i live only 30 km away from munich.

yes that´s exactly right. but they changed the rules in 2006 (i think) to cue balls fouls only when there is no referee. in the highest league (1. bundesliga) there are referees and of course they play all ball fouls.

good method i use sandpaper, a cutter and a willard for the end-shape only and it works very well for me

okok, i don´t argue with the idea of a national championship in the us, in only wanted to show that the living by pool is not tougher in america in europe there is not even one tournament with a prize money near the prize money in the bigger us tournaments (still often won by americans)

ok, so i´m as a european have to respond here: american players cannot play in overseas events? ridiculous - there is no bigger (prize money) tournament for european or germany players only.....but i don´t know about asian... low purses in american events? ridiculous - at least for european...
