    Cloth color...

Yup, red is out for sure. I've played on red as well and hate it. Your hands get red, the tip gets red if the owner makes you use red chalk and the whole background to the table just isn't right. A complete mess as far as I'm concerned. Maybe thats why the headache. I'm pretty sure that if I go...

    problem with warping shafts?

IMO, the stability of the shaft has as much to do with the grain of the wood as it does how it was dried, cured etc. Shafts with tight, straight grain are less likely to warp on their own than ones with uneven grain patterns and lots of "cathedrals". Of coarse, tight straight grained maple is...

    Cloth color...

I'm putting new Simonis 760 on my table. For years, the only color you could get was traditional green. Now they have every color under the sun. Any comments on cloth color? Do colors other than green make a dif - positive or negative? I'm thinking of blue so it doesn't show the chalk marks...

    Cue Chalk

No "best before" date required on chalk as far as I'm concerned. As long as it hasn't been in a damp environment, IMO it can go for years...

    Poolhall junkies experience

I thought Poolhall Junkies was horrible. A "B-" movie at best. The only bright spot was Christopher Walken who could salvage anything he appeared in. Technically poor as well. You'd think they would have showed some of these guys at least how to hold a cue, let alone shoot a ball. What really...

    Tip Replacement Without A Lathe?

Ernest, grab the latest issue of "Inside Pool". In it, there's an article on tip replacement by Mr. Buss, the cue maker. I think the article is under his monthly contibution called "The Buss Stops". Anyway, he descibes an on the fly method with no special tools req'd. Best though, to have...

    Bunjee Break/ Jump

My understanding of the Bunjee is in the makeup of the tip. A combination of leather and synthetic (maybe some sort of phenolic or plastic) making the tip exceptionally hard. I put one on my old Huebler break cue and wow! I'm really breakin' it's balls now...
