    8 Ball Rule

I saw that happen when two balls where in front of the pocket and the opponent's ball was right in front of an object ball. He just pounded both in one after the other and I was unsure if it was legal.

    8 Ball Rule

For example : Player calls 9 ball in corner pocket. Cue ball hits the 9 first but also hits one of opponents ball that sinks BEFORE the 9 ball is pocketed, and then the 9 ball follows. Is this a legit shot? Basically can you make one of your opponent ball before your own if you hit your...

    Hosting weekly 8 ball tournament.

Hey guys! I work in a bar as a poker dealer and I decided that it could be nice to host weekly friendly 8 ball tournaments. We have a nice bar box and a nice pool of players. I am looking for inputs as to how I should proceed and what the format should be. I'm thinking that we could attract at...

    Is it possible to over-think?

I believe that if you are overthinking, you need more practise. Things that you are overthinking are supposed to be second nature, so when you approach a shot, it's pretty much unconscious. Lining up for the shot, finding the right stance, practise stroke, follow through, etc. I am like you...

Help with opinions on cue? Inlays or Overlays/Decals?

If you look closely at my avatar you can notice the same thing. My cheap dufferin cue has decals on the butt.

Help with opinions on cue? Inlays or Overlays/Decals?

Well when you look at the outlay of the details, they just seem to ''pop''. Inlays usually have that sunken in look to them, even if they are completely flush. To my eyes it just looks like something on top of wood, so yeah decals.

    Balabushka replicas as a player

Hey guys, I've been offered a brand new older model of the adam balabushka tribute.. The CS-434. Apparently they were made in japan and are of better quality. Anyone can tell me anything about those? I might pull the trigger.

    WTB - Playing Cue ( 500-700$ Budget)

No I'm serious about buying a cue and have the money ready. I just think that this cue will be the one I use for a while and I don't want to have any second doubts when I do make a purchase.

I'm not a huge fan of darker cues. I like the look of maple. Question of taste I guess.

Inside the mind of a champion

Closest thing to this that I've seen is when Earl Strickland was commentating on a 9ball match. His insights were spot on.
