Simple Question... What The Cost of a 5x10 Billiard table to be install in house?

Just a quick note on the positive aspects of the Simonis PreciseShot rail cloth and Klematch rubber mentioned above. I’ve been using PreciseShot on my heated Verhoeven 5’x10’, with Simonis Rapide bed cloth and Klematch rubber for several years now, and I love the way the PreciseShot cloth...

    Best Chalk? Taom?

You were right about Taom chalk! It was against my intuition to actually spend $20 + shipping for 1 cube of any chalk; however, I discovered it was worth it. Here is what I found: less chalk dust on my table; less or no chalk sticking on my cue ball; less chalk needed to be applied to my cue...

    Best Chalk? Taom?

I’ve been reading about Taom chalks as being the best “all around” chalks. Does anyone know how BallTeck Korean chalk compares to Taom V-10 & Pyro? I’ve been using BallTeck for years on my Verhoeven, ever since Mercedes gave me some to try. It’s low dust quality keeps my table clean. I do need...

    2022 Verhoeven Open

This was advertised & scheduled: yet it’s “Crickets” about the results. Can anyone comment?

New Simonis Cloth only for Cushions

Good point, Bob, regarding my comment about the Royal Pro playing “better” than the Simonis cloth under humid conditions. I was referring to what I noticed about less ball travel length on the Simonis, during play under humid conditions, presumably due to its 90% wool content causing it to...

New Simonis Cloth only for Cushions

As the balls move during play, the Simonis bed cloth is quieter than the Royal Pro. Also, over time, after low power vacuuming and damp micro fiber cloth wiping, for both the Simonis and Royal Pro, the Simonis bed cloth looks better. The advantage of Royal Pro over Simonis: it plays better...

New Simonis Cloth only for Cushions

Yes, I agree that there are other factors regarding ball spin off the 3rd cushion; however, in my case, I like the superior playing quality of the Simonis 300 Rapide on the bed compared to the Royal Pro on the bed… and putting the Simonis Precishot on the cushions gives me the best of both...

New Simonis Cloth only for Cushions

Second Update to my original post: I’ve been using Simonis Precishot Rail cloth on my Verhoeven 5’x10’ heated table now for several years. It is durable: it still holds the 3rd rail spin today as well as when it was new. Given equal stroking, the table plays the same at the beginning as it does...

    Simonis Rail cloth

Please note my error. I corrected it in my post: PreciShot rail cloth is 100% Nylon… not rayon.

    Simonis Rail cloth

Oops! Also forgot to mention that my Simonis Precishot Rail cloth has a slightly lighter blue color compared to my Simonis 300 Rapide bed cloth. I would preder a perfect match; however, the play is so good that I don’t mind.

    Simonis Rail cloth

Oh, forgot to mention: it’s thinner than the bed cloth: 100% Nylon, so you need to use a little duct tape on the rail splines to make the tight fit. The install is no problem with the duct tape… or if you can find wider splines.

    Simonis Rail cloth

I’ve been using Simonis Precishot Rail cloth on my Verhoeven 5’x10’ heated table for several years. It holds the 3rd rail spin today as well as when it was new. Given equal stroking, the table plays the same at the beginning as it does at the end of every game. No more adjusting play as time...

New Simonis Cloth only for Cushions

UPDATE: Simonis PreciShot Synthetic Cushion Cloth: So... now it’s St. Patrick’s Day, 2021, and the cue balls still hold their spin on the 3rd cushion...and beyond. My heated Verhoeven with the Simonis PreciShot cloth on the cushions and the Simonis 300 Rapide on the bed, still plays great.

    Cloudy balls

Probably some residue on the balls will contribute to the increase their chalk accumulation; however, if the residue is slippery, the spinning cue ball will have less friction against the cushion cloth... causing it to slide... and play longer. Then as play continues, the residue comes off the...
