There is one company that I know of, that made their shaft stand out. Tiger. Their Fortis shaft has an orange ferrule. 👍

I know wood for sure. I can't remember if I used one on a CF shaft or not.

The Thoroughbred tips are outstanding IMO. I used a medium-soft, and was very pleased.

P I don't think carbon fiber tubes are as finite a resource as desirable lumber. If memory serves, wood sources are what triggered that "rule," to begin with.
